Things to do in Great Barrier Reef, Queensland: The Best Bus Transportation

October 3, 2021 Cedrick Jardin

The world's largest coral reef system, the Great Barrier Reef stretches almost 1500 miles into the Pacific from the tip of Queensland. Designated a Marine Park by the Australian government and a World Heritage Area by UNESCO, the reef is home to an extraordinary abundance of species and habitats. Snorkeling, diving and fishing are rightly popular along the reef, nowhere more so than on the Whitsunday Islands, where the silica sands and aqua waters of the Coral Sea create the perfect beach escape.

Mission Link Bus Services

Reviewed By jamiepV6156PN - Greater Adelaide, Australia

John and his team at Mission Link are a first class operation from Cairns airport to Mission Beach. They are very accomodating and the 'door to door' service was excellent. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable on all things in the Mission area and offered good feedback on places to eat........they were right on the money. The bus is clean, fresh smelling and most of all, nice and cool, making the trip very pleasant. What was pleasing is the cost of a return trip to Cairns airport is relatively inexpensive and would work out less than one day car hire. For anyone visiting the area, I would highly recommend using Mission Link. Thanks John!

This shuttle service provider has good busses and friendly, efficient drivers. Quite a reasonable price too, for an airport transfer

I made my reservations on line with SR transport and was met in the baggage claim area at the Cairns airport. The trip to Cairns was enjoyable as I spent the entire time talking with the driver. (We were the only 2 in the van.) So much fun to talk with a local! The return trip was also a breeze, as I was picked up at my hotel at the promised time. Great service and ease of booking make this an easy choice.

The trip from the Airport was approx 30 mins from our accomodation. The driver on the trip was very informative , providing us all with details of the area we were travelling through and keeping us entertained . It made the bus trip seem way shorter . The bus has comfortable seats and airconditioning which was great relief from the outside heat and humidity.
