Artemis Acres Paint Horse Ranch

OPEN ALL YEAR WEATHER PERMITTING! Our horse rides are all guided, and go through miles of private timberland on both horse trails and logging roads with panoramic views of Flathead Valley. Though we do offer shorter lesson rides for the novice rider, our most popular ride, and the one providing the most fabulous scenery, is our morning or afternoon 2 hr ride. We also offer a half-day horseback ride, which includes a snack (this is only available in peak of season April- September). The Western BBQ Dinner ride is our personal favorite. Enjoy a late afternoon horseback ride to the mountaintop, followed by relaxing around the campfire while we prepare a traditional western barbecue. Live music! The BBQ is also only offered peak of season April-September. Please call in advance to make a reservation! Check our website for current prices.

We’ve been on about 8 trail rides in various places in the US an we have 4 horses at home — and Artemis Acres is the best place we’ve ridden. They have very healthy horses and great mountainous terrain. The views at the top are amazing. Our guide was very engaging and a great horse person. I’d highly recommend them

My wife and I took a two hour trail ride with wranglers Eric and Mia. They were both great and informative. The horses were friendly and well behaved. A great highlight of our vacation in Montana.

Swan Mountain Outfitters - Glacier Division

I have always wanted to travel to Montana and learn to fly fish. Gratefully, I found Swan Mountain Outfitters and they put with a wonderful group for a five day excursion. We rode every day and I got a terrific lesson in how to cast and tie lines! The guides were fantastic, kind, and very supportive. The best part of the trip is that I can honestly say I never thought about work...not once! That is the mark of a great vacation indeed! Thank you!
