Things to do in Gdansk, Northern Poland: The Best Nature & Parks

December 13, 2021 Roseanne Arnett

One of Poland’s most beautiful cities, Gdansk, on the Baltic Sea, has played major roles in history, especially in the 20th-century. It was the 1939 flash point of World War II, and then in 1980, the birthplace of the Solidarnosc labor movement, ushering the end of Communist domination in Eastern Europe. Gdansk’s Old Town, painstakingly reconstructed to its Hanseatic League glory after being leveled in World War II, is a highlight. The 14th-century Town Hall houses the city’s historical museum.

just a beach, it ist nice cause the location is near the camping nº218, where most of us are staying these days, the beach itself is not incredible but it's a charming place where the sand is colder than the water, perhaps because the high level of contamination, who knows, there's also a karaoke in the nearby and a couple of bars/clubs, nice spot

Ronald Regan was very important to Polish history after 1981 as the one who supported the Polish Solidarity Movement and as the one who told Mr Gorbachev, "Turn down this wall". The park itself is a great place to rest and additionally close to the beach. The best places in Gdansk for runners and a bicycle route that you can reach to Sopot and Gdynia
