Located just outside of the western gate of downtown Fort Smith's Park at West End, this brand new splash pad offers 10 dancing fountains and other great splash-features. Fort Smith National Historic Site

Reviewed By Rick1591 - Goodyear, United States

We visited the Fort Smith historical site today. It was very interesting to go into the historic buildings and see the old jail were they kept prisoners (76 of which were hanged on the nearby gallows) and the old courtroom were many were tried and sentenced. The grounds, buildings and exhibits all have signs explaining each item in detail. When you walk through and around the buildings and grounds it is easy to imagine what must have been like to be here in the 1800’s.

Fort Smith National Cemetery

This is the third National Cemetery that I have visited. Every one of them brings tearful reflections for the brave soldiers who gave our nation the freedom we all enjoy! To see all the headstones reading “unknown soldier” is a somber reflection that somewhere a family will never know where their loved one lays at rest. Gratitude
