Not just for retirees and theme park enthusiasts, the Sunshine State offers beautiful beaches, pristine diving conditions, and sizzling nightlife. Salsa the night away in a smokin’ hot Miami club, or swing away at one of Kissimmee’s many premium golf courses. An airboat tour of the Everglades is an unforgettable adventure – just look out for alligators! For the risk-averse, a lazy day spent on the soft sands of an Emerald Coast beach is as rejuvenating as a spa treatment.

This place is temporarily closed. A cave complete with rock formations and bats.
Interesting history exhibit, cute little gift shop, and excellent, educational tour of the caverns. Brenda did a great job as our tour guide! For homeschoolers, I highly encourage you to get some information on caves before coming here (we downloaded the National Park System cave book for Junior Rangers) - having some knowledge beforehand really helps the information to click when you take the cave tour.

Cavern and cave diving site.
Great place to dive, learn to dive, or to improve your skills. Dove for two days during the week and the viz was absolutely fantastic! Toby and Kevin at the dive school are top notch instructors, and well as being just good people. From shallow to deep, there's a dive for everyone here. Stay on site and get an early jump on the diving the next morning. You won't regret it, and we will be back!

Commercially operated cave diving site.
My husband and I have found this to be one of our favorite places to go, you can stay in the more shallow area if your more comfortable (which I am because I’m newly certified diver) or you can follow the bright yellow rope that literally leads you from the surface of the water all the way to the top portion of the entrance to the cavern where my husband got down to 100 feet deep, not cave certified so that’s as far as he’s permitted but it is really dark so bring a good dive light. The lady that runs it is super friendly and always smiling highly suggest this as a destination you must visit if your near Ocala Fl.

This place is absolutely amazing and beautiful. The water is a tad bit chilly but worth it once you dive under water. The underwater cavern was absolutely amazing and I even got to his 90 feet inside of it. There is a good current coming out of it so stay to the right of it and hold on to something when you are coming out. Would dive here again highly recommended.

This diver's paradise offers shallow spring, river and cave diving.
It was our first time paddling any Florida waterway and the scene here was far from what I expected even after reading reviews. 1. We loved our campsite. #36 It was super close to very clean bathhouse, a bit tricky to back our rig into, but thankfully 35 wasn’t rented the entire time of our stay so the site felt really big. It’s also right next to a trail that takes you to a boat ramp. 2. Upon arrival some young neighbors were partying down, so I could have done two things, gotten irritated or open up a Truly, my beverage choice, and soak it all in. 3. I am a people watcher and my golly there is people watching to do for sure. We didn’t rent tubes and do the tube run as we brought our paddle boards. We would never visit Ginnie during peak season, but a Sunday- Wednesday in mid October was spot on. There was plenty of parking so we parked at one of the springs down from the main ginnie springs entrance (twin spring) and paddled up stream, all the way to gilchrist state park. The water is there was amazing, then we drank our trulys and floated back visiting all the springs at Ginnie, it was wonderful. And then we didn’t have to walk back to camp. Loaded up our boards and took a quick 1 minute drive back to camp. Were people being loud and obnoxious? Yes a few. Were people blaring music? Yup. But thankfully it was just during the day. If you like to have a little fun and be in the party scene, do it. If you are looking for a very quiet adventure. This isn’t it! We loved Ginnie Springs and will be back.
