Things to do in Finger Lakes, Finger Lakes: The Best Fun Activities & Games

September 1, 2021 Harland Bartelt

New York’s Finger Lakes region takes its name from 11 freshwater lakes placed like a handprint between Lake Ontario and the Pennsylvania border. Skiing, hiking and biking trails traverse the landscape; visitors can also indulge in various wine, cheese and beer trails. The area offers a culinary bounty, with an emphasis on farm-to-table cuisine. Rich history and culture are found throughout the region, with one attraction more inviting than the next.

Nine of us went into the Escape Room; none of us had ever done one before. Great fun, challenging, and each of us contributed something important to the overall progress. My only suggestion is that they should have soft drinks or something for afterwards-- everyone is so pumped at the end, and we wanted to "relive" parts or talk about what happened. We all went to dinner somewhere else after. They could do well to offer that there

The Museum Heist was an excellent escape room experience. There were multiple puzzles for the group to decipher. Puzzles opened unexpected areas revealing more clues and needed evidence necessary for the ultimate escape. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We had not been here for quite some time. The staff were very friendly and courteous even opening the door for us to enter. It was snowing and the parking lot was well plowed. Nice! We were not aware that our old players cards were no good. So we had to get new players cards. It was fast and easy. Upon entering the playing areas we saw all the changes which were new to us. It was awesome. The place was very clean. The walkways were wide and easy to get around the casino. We like the selection of slots and the fact that the seats can be moved however you wish. It makes for a comfortable experience. We went to the buffet which was outstanding. We had the prime rib amongst the other items. The prime rib was exquisite. Juicy with plenty of flavor and so tender you could cut it with a fork. The best we have had in quite a while. There was plenty of selections on the buffet. We really enjoyed it. We had a great experience here and will definitely return

Spring Lake Park

I love Spring Lake Park! The front part of the park is perfect for families who want to have a picnic, perfect for baseball players, perfect place for fishermen. But the back part of the park is the place I love the most! It is the place for dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes to meet - - and they get to play off-leash! To top it off, Irondequoit Creek runs through the park and provides a nice, clean swimming hole for the pups - - and boy do they love it!! I have made a lot of new friends at Spring Lake Park - - if there is one great thing about dog parents is that we all love to talk with other dog parents. Thank you Perinton, for providing this wonderful place for our pups!

Black Creek Park

Reviewed By Debbertons - Rochester, United States

I walk here at least once a week pretty much all year round. I prefer the more wooded trails (orange, red, blue) and the rear entrance because it’s quieter and has good access to these trails. The horse trails can get a bit muddy and the marsh trail can have long grass if it’s too wet to mow. Otherwise - Nicely maintained trails and almost always quiet. Use the rear entrance for some more peaceful walking.
