Drive will begin along coastal Adriatic road and you will enjoy view on Elaphiti and Pelješac peninsula before we cross Bosnian border. First we will make a stop at Kravice waterfalls, a large cascade in the karstic heartland of Herzegovina. Afterwards visit to Pocitelj, a medieval village built along the Neretva river. Mostar is nowadays split between West and East Side, Christians and Muslims, with the Old Bridge built in 16th Century by the Ottomans being the unofficial border between them. Our last stop is Blagaj where we'll enjoy magnificent karstic phenomena settled beneath few hundred meters high rock under which river Buna comes out.

We booked a small group tour but since we were the only two people booked on this day (the perks of traveling off-season!), we inadvertently got a private tour for the price of a shared tour. The entire day was enjoyable without being too tiring since the driving distances are short. Our guide was Esmer, who was really knowledgeable, sweet, and flexible. It’s undoubtedly a good idea to book in advance if you’re visiting Mostar in the summertime when their tours are far more popular. We got to spend time in Blagaj, explore Počitelj (which turned out to be our favorite stop!) and see Kravice Waterfalls. Since we went during the winter, we couldn't swim, but the falls were nearly empty and peaceful so it was still worthwhile. At the end of the tour, Esmer took us to the hills surrounding Mostar and taught us all about the events of the war in Mostar. It was one of the most informative tours we took in the country. I highly recommend the company. They were very professional, our day was beautiful and memorable, and we had some flexibility on our tour since it was just us.

I had an excellent walking tour with Samir, the owner of Travel Bosnia. He personally met me even though I was the only one who signed up for the tour that day, which was greatly appreciated. He was on time and professional, very knowledgeable about the city and the history of each stop on the tour. The pace and content was just right for what I was looking for. The tour hits a lot of the primary city center highlights that you will want to visit, and with a lot more context than doing it on your own.
