Beautiful park on the island Dugi otok. Nice for a day trip, clear waters, an easy 5 min hike to the outside with a stunning view of the cliffs. We came early and were there before the crouds.

The ONLY beach with genuine sand we came across over 5 weeks in Croatia. White powdery sand & a shallow protected & calm bay greets you ... especially unique in Croatia where 'sand' beaches are advertised & end up just cream gravel. Sakarun is THE REAL DEAL. Water is magnificently clear & the wide bay means people can spread out over its length so no hassles playing in the water, great for kids. On the eastern end is a shady & popular area with a Beach Shack Cafe called AMACORD. Basic refreshments are available to sit in the shade. I believe there is similar cafe at other end of beach. Off the ferry landing at Brbnj turn right (north) & follow your nose, on the left there is a good track off the road ( don't park on the road ) follow it for 250 m & a large parking area opens up - with a nominal charge - mostly in the shade of trees. The walk to the sand is 50m. The view is glaring with the white of the sand. It is also mesmerising. Enjoy this piece of heaven.

Fantastic cave in the heart of the island, easily reachable by car ( although the road looks scary, it really isn't), by foot it is about 40min walk..but it is worth it, the cave looks amazing and the host is absolute king! had tons of fun there, worth paying 50kn per person!
