Georgetown’s campus is in the tony Georgetown neighborhood. It is peaceful to walk the campus from which you can see the Potomac river. There are some beautiful stone buildings near the campus main gate. A stroll around is worthwhile especially when you consider many famous people walked this campus.

An interactive educational experience which includes a simulation of orbital flight and geography questions.

We visited in order to see the ‘Women’ exhibition. The film documenting women who were making a difference was impressive. There is a permanent set of displays there also, but do look up what talks etc they are having. You can get there by Metro ; Feragut north on the red line.

National Academy of Sciences

Dedicated in 1924, National Academy of Sciences Building is on the National Register of Historic Places. The Albert Einstein Memorial, unveiled in 1979 to commemorate the centennial of the great scientist's birth, is located on the Academy grounds. The building's exhibits are open the public from 9 am - 5pm Monday through Friday.
