This description was the best choice of what TripAdvisor had. What we actually had was a 16 day private tour of western and central Turkey focusing on archeology and history. There were 5 of us on this fabulous adventure. It wasn't exactly easy because of COVID and the lockdowns for citizens around Ramadan. We had to be tested both before and after the trip even though we are vaccinated and lots of shops and restaurants were closed BUT........ It was the GREATEST trip imaginable! Ertunga made sure we never lacked for anything, found us great restaurants and the accommodations were so special. Still, the highlights were the sites and the learning and the beauty of Turkey. We often had the popular sites all to ourselves. The sail boating on the Aegean Sea was terrific. I could list 100 things that were wonderful. Ertunga Ecir went above and beyond to give our group a superior and unforgettable trip -or-a-lifetime.

In the morning, you will be picked you up from your hotel. We reach to Priene. Priene sets dramatically at the foot of a sheer mountain wall. Priene overlooks the aptly named Meander River. This 2500 years old Ionian city was among the first to be planned with a grid system of streets. Miletos – These ancient ruins lie on a hill near the Aegean Sea. Explore the ancient theater, built circa 4th century BC. The theater could accommodate over 15,000 spectators. We visit the well-preserved Bath of Faustina, named after the wife of Marcus Aurelius, who ordered their construction. Didyma – In antiquity, Didyma was connected to Miletos by a sacred road. Unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy this boat to the fullest due to Covid restrictions and some things not being allowed, such as the foam party. This was part of the reason we booked it for my son - however there wasn't really much children's entertainment either so that was a bit of a disappointment. However, the staff were friendly enough and still had good banter with the kids, especially Jack Sparrow and the guy who was doing the photography. The photos were nice but I think a tad over priced for me personally. But it was a nice momento for my son as it was his first time in Turkey and also out on boats at sea and swimming in the sea. The staff were very encouraging and helped get him in to the way as he was a bit apprehensive about it. We also enjoyed a short shopping trip at a small village, and lunch was lovely.

We had been talking to Hakan from Neopolis Travel for over a year, as I was planning a 6 month Sabbatical, with an Istanbul and Cappadoccia tour. From the beginning the communication from Hakan was always timely and informative with flexibility and options given. We eventually booked the tour with him for this coming May, but obviously circumstances have now prevented this. Via email with Hakan, he gave us options to defer the tour, but unfortunately due to other commitments we have had to cancel. Hakan has been very understanding throughout and will definitely book with him and Neopolis if we are able to do the tour in the future.

Booked through Goodman tours weeks before our scheduled Balloon flight via Viator. Received confirmation, got tickets. Night before our flight we get an email, not from Goodman tours but from Viator advising that Balloon flight has been cancelled due to “overbooking”. Rang Goodman tours, they say cancelled because of bad weather but there were heaps of other balloon flights the next morning. Very disappointed as we went to Cappadocia specifically for the Balloon ride. Could of let us know earlier in the day so we could book another flight. Goodman tours offered a complimentary activity, but if never eventuated. Will not use them again.
