Vis Walking Tours

Meet the beautiful Mediterranean island that lies behind the facade of a tourist destination.

Reviewed By Rene1406 - Zagreb, Croatia

We went with Nikola two times on hiking tour. First to Hum peak, Tito's cave, Podhumlje and back to Komiza and the second was to the other side of Komiza bay. Wonderful hiking with Nikola who is a beautiful person with passion and great wide knowledge about history as he is also a history teacher. Vis is beautiful from any angle, but I would totally recommend that you take a tour with Nikola and explore it on foot.

Minceta Fortress

Reviewed By IN_Travelers47906 - West Lafayette, United States

An interesting landmark along your wall walk with wonderful views of all of Old Town. If you begin the counterclockwise wall walk from near Pile Gate, you will want to keep looking back for views of Fort Minceta as you walk away from it. Once you have almost completed your circumnavigation of the wall, Fort Minceta will be the last landmark you will come to before returning to your starting point.

Zidine Fortress

Althought there is little left on the antque town of Rab, it is worthwhile to see preserved and prosperous Rab of the early and late Romanesque period which brought with a new kind of urbanism and wonderful arhitecture of town houses, churches, monasteries and belfries influenced by the Mediterranean spirit. It is worthwhile to experiance the adventurous controversial feeling and coldness and warm-heartedness of stone ambience, numerous stone portals and windows, which separate the outer noisy life of its inhabitants from the secretive and hidden one
