October 3, 2021 Myesha Cogley

Whether you're looking for sandy beaches, rocky coves, tranquil villages or mountain scenery, Spain's Costa Brava has something to offer you. Situated in the north-east of the country overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, the Costa Brava region enjoys hot summers and mild winters, making it an all-year-round holiday destination. There are plenty of opportunities in the Costa Brava to play golf, tennis or football, as well as to take part in water sports. The Sant Daniel Valley on the western side of the Gavarres hills has mountain biking and trekking paths with stunning views. If you are looking for a cultural activity, the Archaeological Museum in Banyoles is housed in a Gothic palace and has displays of paleontology and pottery as well as archaeology. Modern art lovers must not miss the Theatre Museum in Figueres which has a collection of Salvador Dali's paintings. At the end of the day, if you still have some energy, there is no shortage of nightlife in towns such as Lloret de Mar.

I really enjyed this tour along the amazing costa Brava coastline.. Before starting the hike along the coastline we visited the enchanting town of Begur, whilst there Karen & Xavi told us all about the towns history and pointed out interesting aspects of the towns architecture. As somewhat of a hiker the trek along the coastline was my favourite part of the tour. The hiking trail goes up and down over the rugged costa Brava coastline giving spectacular views of the small villages and mediterranean sea. I would advise good shoes as the path is quite rugged and at times you'll need good grip when traversing down some of the rockier parts of the trail. Really great day out! Thanks Xavi og Karen!

7. Dali, Costa Brava & Wine Private Tour

Castlexperience - Wine Tours

Who wants to go to the seaside? Welcome to the Mediterranean-vibed laid back Costa Brava, the most inspiring section of coastline in Catalonia, and definitely one of the most relevant in Spain. Here, neverending pine tree forests meet the deep blue ocean (or sea, in this case), touched by tiny fishing villages with white houses, and rocky cliffs hide hardly accessible small beaches and sea caves. This landscape has inspired so many artists in the past, and Dalí was probably the most renowned of them. One last thing makes the equation perfect to us: wine. The region is home to one of the Catalan Denominations of Origin we find in Spain, DO Empordà, nowadays in real rise. What else do you need? Allow the embracing sea breeze in your journey by visiting this region in a full day tour from Barcelona!

Inclusions: Private transportation, Air-conditioned vehicle, Wine tasting in a local winery

Exclusions: A local restaurant may be recommeded if necessary, Gratuities
