She was brought to New Zealand in 1996 by Russell and he had been operating her as a trawling vessel until 2011. Since then, Russell and Lori have converted Nadgee into a charter fishing vessel surveyed to carry up to 15 passengers, and sleeping up to 8 passengers for overnight trips.
