Things to do in Columbia, Maryland (MD): The Best Fun Activities & Games

January 25, 2022 Layne Dawes

Columbia is a census-designated place in Howard County, Maryland, United States, and is one of the principal cities of the Baltimore metropolitan area. It is a planned community consisting of 10 self-contained villages. It began with the idea that a city could enhance its residents' quality of life. Creator and developer James W. Rouse saw the new community in terms of human values, rather than merely economics and engineering. Opened in 1967, Columbia was intended to not only eliminate the inconveniences of then-current subdivision design, but also eliminate racial, religious, and class segregation.

A Game of Rooms Columbia

The highly rated and acclaimed escape room from Rockville, Maryland now has a new location in Columbia! It's the perfect experience for birthdays, corporate team building, family bonding events, or even just a gathering of friends.

I absolutely love escape rooms and each one I've gone to delivers a unique experience. Our group completed Cabin fever with little time to spare and we enjoyed every minute of escaping and avoiding the avalanche. As we walked into the establishment, it smelled like fresh wood in a cabin! Clues were literally everywhere in the room and our host Andy was great, in costume and everything! I don't want to give any spoilers, but let's say I got to see something in this room that I've not seen in the other 8+ rooms I've completed before. The possibilities of escape rooms are endless and this one provided a new experience for me that I was not expecting. I hope this business is able to expand to create more rooms! Andy: I hope the title of this review is something to remember our group by! haha

Come experience the highly rated and acclaimed escape room for Montgomery County. Perfect for birthdays, corporate team building, family bonding events, or even just a gathering of friends.

We went in as a group of four visitors and came out as who had broken out of prison. We truly loved this escape room and our game master and sheriff Andrew who expertly submerged is into the world of the GOR prison where we had to escape. We love challenging games and not being spoon fed clues at the slightest hesitation so Andrew perfectly monitored our progress. I’ve been to tons of escape rooms in different cities, some good some not so much. This one had great props and was excellent. Would recommend just to get the realistic feel of the bars.

Earth Treks is the best gym and climbing facility I've even been to. The employees are friendly and the facilities are always clean. The community is pretty nice over all. People generally stay out of each others ways other than when they want to help you.
