Things to do in Colorado, United States: The Best Movie Theaters

August 2, 2021 Diedre Savory

Colorado is home to no less than twenty-six ski resorts such as those in Vail and Breckenridge; other winter activities include snowboarding, sledding, sleigh rides, snow hiking and snowmobiling. The state is blessed with national parks, grasslands and forests where in warmer weather you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking or rock climbing. Wildlife abounds, from bears to moose and raccoons to wolverines. More interested in local history? Head for either the Ute Indian Museum or the Koshare Indian Museum, and don't miss the forts such as Fort Garland and Bent's Old Fort. For a complete change, why not take a ride in a hot air balloon from South Park Valley or Boulder and admire Colorado's picturesque landscape from above?

Nice movie theatre- great reclining chairs. The rows however are all on the same level and so it made seeing over the person in front of you slightly difficult. great value for the money

We did not enjoy a movie but definitely enjoyed our visit to the theater. The facade is unique and the interior a step back in time. We sought out the other building in the city designed by the same architect to absorb that one as well

Holiday Twin Drive-In Theater

Reviewed By valerieisbald - Avon, United States

This is one of the last drive-in movies in the US. There are two screens and you get to see two movies. You can tune in to the sound on your FM radio. You can also back in or pull in forward. We opted for the PG option which was Toy Story 4 and The Lion King. Intermission is long enough to get snacks and use the restroom. I believe it was cheaper if you pay there in cash instead of online.

The Kress Cinema & Lounge

Reviewed By ChristopherOfGreeley - Greeley, United States

The Kress Cinema is a terrific local theater, showing many of the films it's hard to find elsewhere in Northern Colorado, as well as the occasional mainstream blockbuster (just for fun). The theater serves food and drinks as well. Food, composed mainly of small plates, is well worth the cost. Drinks are phenomenal; it's not without reason that Kress bartenders are among the most lauded in Greeley. Overall, the Kress is a great place to catch a movie, beat the heat, or just hide from your chore list for a few hours.
