Great little art cinema. They seem to show a variety of movies + have singalong musical sessions sometimes. Comfy seats, small venue, 2 screens, friendly staff. I loved having a mulled wine and cheeseboard to enjoy during the movie.

This cinema is contained within the old Arts Centre in Christchurch which is made up of Gothic architecture. Most of the buildings have now been repaired as a result of our earthquakes but this cinema is a sight to behold! Very bespoke, very classy, and the cinemas offer large leather seats to relax in. There is a a cosy bar overlooking the Botanical Gardens - go and see and experience it for yourself. There is a lift so no problems for disabled or older people.

The temperature outside was 90 degrees Fahrenheit, too hot to enjoy the regular tourist fare. So we decided to escape the heat by taking in a movie at the new theater. It was a beautiful facility, with large comfortable reclining seats, air conditioning, and a wide variety of snack options. Who could ask for more? We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
