Visited this lovely family-owned shop on May 31 during a tour of Crete. It was delightful!! The owners (Filio, Voula, & Maria) were so friendly and they treated the group like personal friends. The presentation given by Filio (the witch) was soooo entertaining and informative. We learned all about age-old soapmaking techniques and how they use gentle, natural products, for all skin types-even for men. And, oh, the smells of natural scents - orange, vanilla, lavender, chamomile, chocolate, to name a few!!! And you have to check out their website!!! Their prices are very reasonable. We all left their with face cream, oil, soap or something in our hands!!! I definitely plan to reorder more products on line when needed. Must do on your way to Balos Beach! If you want to take home s.th. special, not the standard souvenir! Beautiful show room with unique things made of local natural elements. The most impressive are Mike's olive bonsais! Also ask for their organic olive oil. if you are lucky, they have some left to sell you.

I belive this shop is best shopping place in all old town. They have a bit of everything, very high service, and a lot of patience until you find that perfect gift. Very reasonable prices too.

So impressed with this store! The diamond ring I bought for my wife is impressive and the laurel leaves earrings are amazing too, she loves them. So much to choose from. Excellent quality. Unique designs. There is no sales pressure. People are very helpful and kind. In Crete, one of the best shops I'd visited during my holidays! Definetely recommended!!!

It's a great store, every piece is carefully selected. For adults and children. You will find a lot of gifts from Chania. I love the handcrafted leather bags and rare designer accessories. The glasses made of wood caught my attention. Everything is amazing about this shop. Nina, the owner of the store, I enjoyed talking to her, always smiling. If you want to have something special, you should visit this store.

During wintertime, Mandali will be closed, but we will continue making the walks. In the shop Mandali you can buy (fair trade) the best local products from the village Kournas (olive oil, honey, raki, raki with coffee, with honey and with lemon, wine and herbs) and some special gifts: art, gift cards, painted pebbles, ceramics, jewellery made of Tagua nuts, mulberry wood and glass filled with sand, pebbles, and butterflies, walking maps and -books and natural, handmade olive soap. For information about the village and the area, you are welcome in the shop. For a short stroll in the village or the long walk in the backyard, you can get a free map of the village and area with walking routes. Since 2018 we have donkeys and in April 2019 Cleo gave birth to a daughter Zoe. You can join us at the botanical walks with our 4 donkeys and with Arno or you can join Barbara on the botanical walk Extra.
