Glika Nera Bay

One would beg to differ from the previous review! We have lost of the number of times we have visited Sweetwater over the years. The beach has one of the most magnificent settings with a great cliff towering behind it. Excellent swimming with a lovely beach. The second set of sun beds onwards is naturist. The taverna Is as crazy as ever. Delicious lunch with local wine we then took the wee ferry on to Loutro.

Wonderful trip to see Crete from another perspective ! It was fun to see the caves and coastline with George's comments. The time swimming around with tuba and fins in the turqoise waters was relaxing and refreshing. A great moment and we highly recommend it to those visiting Crete and wishing for a different type of excursion.

Deliana Gorge

The walk is nice in a picturesque gorge, we went in October 2019. The gorge had suffered some quite bad damage and most of the paths had been washed away. It was recommended to us as a good walk with kids, unfortunately due to the rain in spring the paths and tracks had been washed away and they had only started rebuilding them. It was challenging with some rather large boulder fields you had to walk up. I would recommend hard wearing footwear not trainers and add some time around an hour to the predicted walking time .
