This was our second trip to Russia, the first was 1972 and what a spectacular change. Yury is a very good communicator, this coupled with his broad knowledge of Russia made our trip feel as if we were visiting Moscow with a friend. For the coffee drinkers Bossco Cafe on Red Square is not to be missed, walk back in time drinking coffee while looking across Red Square at Lenin’s tomb, this will give you much to contemplate, a special experience.

I had an excellent tour with Nikita. He met me in the lobby of my hotel and the tour began as soon as we left. Nikita is very knowledgeable and was able to give me the history of various buildings and neighborhoods as we walked around Moscow. He also gave me insights on life in present day Russia. The wonderful food started at a market where we tried Russian cheese and crepes. We then walked to a monastery and had pastry and tea. We stopped along the way so Nikita could tell me about the history of a building or place. The final stop involved delicious Siberian dumplings. My three-hour tour flew by. It was the perfect combination of food, history, and culture. It was also just the right amount of food for me. We finished at 6:00 pm and I didn’t need dinner that evening. Nikita followed-up afterwards with recommendations for shopping and restaurants during my remaining time in Moscow. I highly recommend this tour.

It's not only about tasting, it's also about stories. We will explain what are the regions from which the particular dish is coming and why it's important for our culture, we will explain the tricks of cooking or producing it and tell you the stories related to the dish. VEGETARIANS are welcome as well. If you are a vegetarian, a vegan or you are allergic to anything, just tell us, we have the options prepared up our sleeve, like vareniki instead of pelmeni, pickles instead of cheese and blini instead of oladyi. Oh, so many new words! And oh, so many new tastes:)
