If you love WWII this church has a great stop. you can still see the broken tile where the dud mortar hit. The blood stained on the pews are truly humbling. Make sure to learn the story of the medics before you go. you can even watch the PBS special.

Memorial to Major Tucker, an American officer killed while supervising the reconstruction of the bridge bearing his name on June 27th, 1944. In the aftermath of his death, stelae were erected and then disappeared over time. In 2017, this error of history is corrected and the Major's honor safe.
