Things to do in Cape Town Central, Western Cape: The Best Photography Tours

November 27, 2021 Timmy Ribble

Cape Town glistens at the southern toe of the African continent. Tourist brochure-views at Blaauwberg Beach and Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens are within easy driving distance of "The Mother City." The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve provides sweeping sea vistas, hiking trails and wildlife encounters. On a more somber note, travelers can visit Robben Island, the prison where Nelson Mandela was held for 27 years.

We used Double Gold Tours for several day trips during our vacation to South Africa. The four of us really didn't have an itinerary and simply told Kim (our tour guide) that we wanted her to show us her favourite sights and places. IT WAS AMAZING! The places she took us were beautiful, off the beaten path, and absolutely wonderful. Each day was a new adventure with amazing food, wine, animals, and more. I can not recommend her enough. She knew how to get to the best locations, she brought us to the best vineyards, and introduced us to her family and friends. It was wonderful. But the absolute best part of our trip was how safe and comfortable it felt. Kim simply felt like a part of the family, a friend that was taking us around - - a very dear friend who we will never forget.

This tour of Table Mountain is for the traveller who wishes to slow down and fully appreciate the natural surroundings; the flora, fauna and history. It is intimate and personal and focuses on immersion and learning about the Mountain, Cape Town and South Africa. As guides, we truly care about the quality of the tour and guests having a true and authentic experience. There is ample time for photography, flower and wildlife observation and simply becoming quiet and still in nature. Cohesion and community are also very important factors and a big effort is made, on the part of the guide, to promote a good energy, vibe and the chance to make long lasting friendships. Come and experience the best of Cape Town hiking with a qualified, experienced and friendly Hiking Guide

Inclusions: Each hiker is provided a 1.5L bottle of still mineral water., Each hiker will be provided with some light snacks such as fruit and an energy bar or healthy nuts., Private transportation

I thoroughly Enjoyed this experience, everything about is was a 'Highlight' for me. Unathi, the photographer was so easy to take direction from and she knows her craft. She is friendly, professional and humble at the same time. I suggested a few 'different' locations on the path and she was for it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE HOW my photo's look. I will do this AGAIN and I will suggest that if you are in Cape Town, to make it a point to add it on your 'Itinerary'

The organizers were very relaxed and made us feel very welcomed even though we had no experience with drumming. My son (6) absolutely loved it and he is asking when the next one is happening! We both left feeling like we had achieved something. It was a very enjoyable experience and I would recommend to it to anyone, for all ages.
