Such a lovely place! I wish I could describe the delicious smells we smelt when we walked in the door, but I wouldn't do it justice! You will have to take a visit for yourself. I believe we worked with the owner, she was such a kind and pleasant person. Truly took her time with us, helped educate us on the best coffees, vinegars, salts, peppers, and oils to buy. Also was able to try anything we wanted to sample. The toasted coconut was divine!! Felt completely safe during these covid times, she had a mask on, it was required for us to wear them, and when sampling she provided it for us. Cannot wait to go back!

I was in Cape Charles for a weekend of rest. I was told about this shop by the innkeepers who hosted my stay. They told me and another person about the shop and yup go see John and Honey. So, off we went. John had such an amazing amount of knowledge about wines and the components! He helped me find a wonderful red wine and where I could buy it at home. Honey was such a lovely lady! She made an impromptu patio for us and a another couple tho sit outside and enjoy our wine. They made us feel so welcome and like we we're old friends coming to visit. I will definitely be returning to Cape Charles and The Gull Hummock! My trip would not have been as fun without coming to this shop! A must to visit!

My family of five were staying in the area over Memorial Day weekend. Went into Cale Charles on Saturday. I wanted to go to this store after seeing it on trip advisor. Really cute store with a variety of items. It was fun to look around. My teen daughters also enjoyed it.

What a delight it was for me to return to Cape Charles after not having visited for several years and finding this place! A bookstore with new and used books and delicious coffee and bagels, open at 7am, what's not to love?! The building itself is charming, the story of the sisters who opened the store is fascinating, and the collection of books they've assembled is surprising and impressive. I went twice in a two day visit if that tells you anything. And the hooded sweatshirt I bought with the store's logo is my new favorite item of clothing as well. I'll be heading back as soon as I can plan another trip to the Eastern Shore.

My family and I spent a lovely Friday evening here this past weekend. We saw some lovely pieces of art, talked to some of the artists on hand, listened delightedly to the guitar and fiddle duo, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves sampling the local scene. They reprise this every Friday night. Check it out!
