Australind Bunbury Tourist Drive

Reviewed By Q7840EUdanl - Bunbury, Australia

We have enjoyed this drive on many occasions over the years; it has also been a stopping place to enjoy a BBQ, crabbing and prawning trips, a Sunday picnic with family and friends. The road has been upgraded, traffic calming facilities installed, a separate cycleway, the estuary on one side and various properties on the other. It has always been a go to place to see wildlife, especially visitors wishing to see kangaroos grazing. Heading Northwards from Bunbury, you will see the turnoff at Australind and on reaching Buffalo Road, its worth while to see more of nature by heading left to Buffalo Beach and onwards through the peninsula to the old Belvidere site, camping grounds and beach area.

Marlston Hill Lookout Tower

Well worth the climb to experience a 360 degree view of Bunbury from the ocean to the bay. Alternatively, a good place to exercise if you enjoy the steps

Bunbury Lighthouse

Reviewed By mjail5

The Bunbury Lighthouse is not open and you can only view it from the outside. The lighthouse can be seen from the Marlston Hill Lookout Tower or if you want to get up close, just park at Wyulug-Rocky Point. Alternatively, if you are staying on Ocean Drive, better still take a walk. Our family took the opportunity to go for a 5K run from the Ocean Drive Motel where we were staying to the lighthouse and back. A bonus is that you will get to also enjoy the varying views along the coast of Ocean Drive.

Sir John Forrest Monument

Reviewed By Mialilyyeahyeahincre

As we were taking a beautiful stroll through the busy streets of Bunbury Western Australia, we stumbled across this glorious monument. We were so extremely dazzled by its impeccable appearance and it’s longing stare we just had to stop in awe at its utter superiority. We were compelled by its fabulousness, pulling to take a selfie, immediately, posting it on all of our socials to brag to our friends and family about our remarkable discovery. The Sir John Forrest Monument is the most exhilarating tourist attraction in the whole of the Greater Bunbury Region and we are appalled to see it ranked so low on the top tourist destinations in Bunbury. We highly highly highly recommend and could not rave about this incredible statue any less than we have in this review.
