My family and I had 9 hours free time in port of Kotor, so we decided to take a further look at Boka Bay. We arranged travel agency by recommendation of our friend who has already visited Montenegro. Driver Marco picked us up in the port, and took us first in beautiful Perast, from where we had a quick boat tour to two small island in the middle of the Bay. Next location was breath taking Porto Montenegro, the new built exclusive place in Tivat. After that we retourned and spend some time in Kotor Old town. That was the best time spent to see more of that amazing county.

Local trip drivers don't speak English. Couldn't describe where we were and we didn't know where he was supposed to take us. Local tour operator stated they don't have English speaking drivers. She hung up on us and blocked further calls from us. Had to try to get refund from my credit card company as we never did take this trip. When we asked driver if he spoke English he looked at us and shrugged his shoulders. He said "driver only".

You will be walking through the narrow streets and small squares of a fortified medieval town, mostly influenced by the ancient republic of Venice. The layers of the numerous civilizations that have occupied this area show an interesting view into the history of Budva: Romans, Byzantines, Slaves etc. The most important buildings and constructions in the Old Town are the churches of St. John, Holy Trinity, Holy Mary in Punta, St. Sava, the citadel fortress, and the town walls.
