Great trail even better with an e bike. Lots of stops for coffee or wine along the way. Hire bikes available in Bright.

Canyon Walk

Had a lovely morning walk on the Canyon Walk, very pretty walking next to the clear Ovens river - plenty of locals out and very friendly, perhaps because they hadn’t seen visitors for a long time!

Howitt Park

Reviewed By Crystalline4u - Traralgon, Australia

This is a magnificent park on the Ovens River... all ages, all levels of fitness will enjoy the park. There is parking available for trailers/caravans and cars in the park. It offers public toilets, a sound-shell there for local events, undercover BBQ areas, picnic tables, bench sits to sit and watch the water, meandering paths, established shady trees, expansive lawn areas, a large children's play area. Also there is a Splash Park here and some of the local walks in the area start here. Walking through here recently it was quieter than other times that I have been here, but the Regional visitors were there. Children were playing in the park ... you could hear their delighted laugher. I went for a walk through the area and interacted as people greeted me. For awhile there... you could just lose yourself and pretend that Covid never happened... except we were all wearing masks.

Cherry Walk Nature Trail

Reviewed By RossACT - Canberra, Australia

This is a pleasant stroll in the bush. Sadly, the earlier parts are weed infested but there is a lot of restoration work going on. Once past that, you are in bushland with some delightful views of the river, especially when crossing the upper suspension bridge.
