Brela (pronounced [brě̞la]) is a municipality in the Split-Dalmatia County of Croatia, population 1,771 (2001). The municipality consists of two villages: Brela and Gornja Brela. Village Brela is located on the Adriatic coastline of Dalmatia, about 15 km northwest of Makarska.

The French Road or Napoleon's Road

The road represents an exceptional architectural contribution in road construction from the beginning of the 19th century.Interpretation boards are positioned along the road,in order to bring you closer and to provide you an understanding and to explain you the manner and purpose of building this truly exceptional and valuable road.The entire road is a wonderful view point.Easy,but mountain trail!

There is no spot on this beach that cannot look at least good in a picture. Excellent for a walk after the dinner, lots of points where you can get into the water, regardless the stones. Crystal clear water, marine life everywhere.

The beach is very nice. We rent an umbrella and two sun beds for only 50 kn. If you do not enjoy very much the sun it has also a lot of trees and you can enjoy their shadows. is nice also that it is not a sandy beach and water is very clear with no waves due to the mini golf location. Very nice beach

On the Western side of the beach Punta Rata, there is the Brela Stone – a symbol of Brela,Croatia - the most common motive from postcards of Brela and Croatia. The rock is covered in pines proudly protruding and presenting all its beauty and force, power and spite to grow from stone.

This is something you should not miss if you are visiting Brela. It is their symbol and it is just beautiful with all this turquoise water around it.

The route begins from Brela, along pathway to Punta Rata. Along the shore, there is a paved trail along the beach, all the way to Jakirusa. From Novaci, begins to climb up towards the old hamlet of Kricak.From here, the route runs on the gravel road, downhill stretch to Baskovici; then to Veliko Brdo.Along the edge of the mountain, the route runs through Mlinice to Kotisina and then to Makarska.
