3 1/2 stars. We drove around Salut for 5 - 6 hours looking for lavender fields. I was disappointed we did not visit Roussillon. On Tripadvisor’s itinerary “Roussillon: Stop 45 minutes” was written, so I expected we would go both Roussillon and Gordes then spend time on lavender fields, but it was different. Since it’s August, we didn’t visit Abbaye Notre-Dame de Sénanque, neither. It’s good the guide was knowledgeable and knew so much about the lavender.

This is a review about our experience "so far" with Christopher and Ooh Provence. A number of months ago, as usual, I did extensive research and found a photographer and I contacted him to see about a photo experience while in Marseille. He responded immediately and then told me about his tour company which extends beyond just photography. It was perfect...a guide that could help 2 amateur photographers get some unique shots in a great city plus learn about the history at the same time. I find this is a great way to explore a city. So, of course ,I booked and paid the deposit etc. and we confirmed our date. Then along came Covid 19 and I finally had to cancel .This company offers full refund up to 24 hours in advance of tour and Christopher had no problem with an immediate refund. I will add that is not the case with some hotels etc. I am so impressed with the customer service under very extraordinary circumstances and will definitely book with Ooh Provence in the future when we can return post Covid. Based on my experience so far I am sure we will have a great time touring Marseille and the surrounding area with Christopher. I often find the true test of a good travel company is how they handle unexpected problems and can be flexible. Christopher delivers on this for sure!!

Our local guide (“small” Lawrence) was kind and knowledgeable, and logistics with her and the tour were seamless. Only recommendation would be to cut the wax museum visit (which comes at the end of the day) because by then, you’ve heard Therese’ story a lot and seen “real” sites so the wax museum seemed superfluous.

This is a great day out for lovers of fine wine and the best food that Provence has to offer. Leaving Aix-en-Provence, heading north towards Château La Coste, the renowned vineyard where fine wine sits in harmony with art & architecture. We visit the vineyard and learn about the production here and have an opportunity to taste some of their best wine. Next we head to the Coteaux d’Aix & Ste Victoire wine region. Mount St Victoire, a symbol of Provence - the mountain rises over 1000 meters behind the rolling landscape and vineyards close to the historic Provençal village of Puyloubier. This is a visit of discovery coupled with visits to three local vineyards, with tastings. We will also have lunch in a typical Provençale restaurant on a terrace in the village of Puyloubier.

Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, Wine tasting at three Domaines

It honestly ended up being the best part of our trip - Rémi is the best! I'd recommend Gentle Provence to anyone.

I couldn’t recommend AIX BIKE and GO enough. Dialogue with Colin pre-collection was responsive and simple. We had to change our plans last minute and shorten the booking duration. This was all no problem and easily accommodated. The bikes were in great condition, new, clean and well maintained. On the day, we rented an electric bike also as well as conventional. Colin was very patient and took the time to explain the in and outs to a novice rider. Plenty of extras were included free of charge (rucksack, gloves, map, repair kit) and we were given great input on potential route options. I’ll be back in Aix in March for a few days and will certainly be renting from AIX BIKE and GO again.
