Lazy Jack

Lazy Jack takes her lines from the traditional Gloucester fishing schooners of the 1850's and has had a colorful and notorious history as a fishing and passenger charter schooner. During the early years, Lazy Jack sailed between the East Coast, Man O War Key, and Cuba running guns, rum, cigars, and bananas. Today Lazy Jack offers 2 hr. day sails or private charters from Pier 1 in Boothbay Harbor. This is a real-time sailing experience. Weather and conditions are variable and adjustments to the schedule may occur. We sail wind and tide and use the engine sparingly and as needed. This is not a narrated tour but highlights of the area will be pointed out, questions will be answered to the best of our ability and marine life may appear at will! Guests are encouraged to bring a slicker or warm shirt. Food and beverage are not provided but are allowed. And last but not least...come ready to have a grand time in one of the most senic places in Maine!

Cap'n Fish's Audubon Puffin & Scenic Cruises

A Puffin-watching cruise is kind of like an ocean-going treasure hunt… you just never know what's going to show up! As we travel through Boothbay Harbor and search for all the marvelous sea creatures which call this area their home, seals often surface near the boat, or can be found sunning themselves on the rocks. A loon flies by. A Minke Whale surprises everyone with its sheer size and bulk. And, of course there are lighthouses, which we know as permanent treasures here on the New England coast. As the boat gets to Eastern Egg Rock, everyone is up and looking around for those pint-sized little Puffins. We scan the rocks and the skies, and then someone shouts, and lo and behold there is a group of Puffins sitting in the water, bobbing up and down, perhaps 50 or 60 feet from the boat. More fly by, and soon someone spots a bunch sitting on the granite boulders along shore.
