The Berkshires are home to an impressive collection of cultural and historic sights. Get your fill of music, art and theater at Tanglewood, the Boston Symphony's summer home, MASS MoCA, the country's largest contemporary art center, the Norman Rockwell Museum and the Williamstown Theatre Festival. Recreational opportunities also abound, including snowshoeing, snowboarding, skiing, rafting, kayaking, fishing and golf. The Berkshires are an easy drive, just two and a half hours from Boston and New York.

Jacobs Pillow is a total experience that encompasses so many wonderful elements The physical setting is magnificent,and the gardens beautiful. On many days there are free lectures with outstanding resources There are also free performance on the outdoor stage They offer many dining options and also lots of space to picnic And of course world class dance!!! Only caveat - the theaters are NOT air conditioned Also seats are VERY narrow - so if you have a special need make sure your seats will accommodate you

Town Players of Pittsfield

Town Players of Pittsfield, Inc. was founded in 1921. It is the oldest theater in Berkshire County and one of the oldest, continually running, non profit theaters in the country. Town Players of Pittsfield offers three full productions or musical events yearly plus monthly staged readings. The theater's home is at Berkshire Community College, 1350 West St. in Pittsfield. Our full scale productions are held in the beautiful Robert Boland Theater and smaller productions and staged readings in K111 in the same building, Koussevitzky Arts Center.
