I tried virtual reality at a tech conference a few years ago and was blown away by the technology - it really tricks your mind into thinking that you're somewhere else, and that somewhere else can have dragons, zombies, robots, you can be under the sea, out in space -- the only limit is the imagination of the VR creators. It's not just like a big 3D/360 movie... it's seriously immersive in a way that you have to experience for yourself or you won't understand what I mean. Heady VR has everything you need to enjoy a quality VR experience, from friendly staff to a large catalogue that includes everything from VR movies to multiplayer shooters to puzzle escape room style games. You can even create art in VR using your controllers to paint. You can rent a single station and share your time between people or rent multiple stations and play in the same game together with your friends or dates. There's family friendly stuff for a wide range of ages from kids to great grandparents. I've taken my parents there and they LOVED it despite not being techy at all - they don't even have internet at home - it was hard to get them to leave! Or go by yourself and explore VR-space! And let me mention also that it's a locally owned and operated small business, not a chain, so support local entrepreneurship! It's a unique experience in Bellingham, don't miss it! Headsets and controllers are sanitized between uses. You can reserve online or walk in.
