Things to do in Baton Rouge, Louisiana (LA): The Best Nightlife

April 11, 2022 Karren Gelb

Settled by Europeans on Native American hunting grounds, the city of Baton Rouge has grown up under the influence of English, French, Spanish, and native cultures. The city is proud of its Cajun and Creole heritage, with clubs famous for playing the blues, and streets full of restaurants serving up everything from spicy Bayou foods to Caribbean home cooking. Located on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi delta, visitors can watch the sun set over the levees or ride on a riverboat casino.

Went to the Midland concert Saturday night and it was wonderful. Place was packed but the service was still excellent. Drinks were good. Sound is good and place is small enough for all to have good views. Can't wait to go to another show here.

This is a chic little dimly lit 1920s speakeasy lounge imparting a cozy ambiance with boudoir lamps, chandeliers and velvet sofas. The bar offers an array of eclectic cocktails drawn up by mixologists as talented as the drinks are unique. Live music on certain nights. Great place to gather with friends or a romantic date night. Don't miss this hidden gem.
