We drove it in our rental car leaving Banff at 7:30AM and did not get beck until after 4PM - so much to see! This is an absolutely beautiful drive with many places to stop to take in the marvelous views of mountains, lakes & streams and/or enjoy short hikes. You can see many glaciers on the mountains. We took the drive in mid September and the Aspen trees were a beautiful golden color against the backdrop of green pine trees. Our turning point was at the “Ice Field Center” where we walked up to the glacier. If you wanted to get up close and personal with the ice, tours are available - they take you out onto the glacier on a special bus and let you walk around for a few minutes. A very enjoyable day.

This spot offers amazing views of some beautiful mountain scenery in Banff National Park. We had not planned to visit but just happened to be passing by when exploring the area for a x-country ski outing. How thrilling to be there just at the right time when a train passed by. A beautiful sunny blue sky day made for a perfect visit! It is so photogenic...and really represents the beauty of the great Canadian Rockies!

Great atmosphere of Canadian Rockies. It is an iconic street to get the unique feel of Rocky Mountains and Banff National park. Plenty to see, museums and souvenir shops, galleries with Inuit and gemstone art, sport equipment rentals, restaurants with international cuisine from Canadian and French to Mexican and Italian, bars, pubs, diners and Rocky chocolateries.

Went there to keep the kids entertained during a very cold winter day. They/we had great fun using the climbing walls and the pool. The place is very clean. Great views from the pool

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise

Reviewed By Westydave - Emu Plains, Australia

We have just finished a wonderful week at the Fairmont Chateau. The highlights of the week are: The Ice Magic festival was amazing: teams of 2 working for 36 hours to create amazing ice sculptures with chainsaws , drills, and irons ... cannot believe the artwork they created ( it was -30 degrees as well) Gold Floor: the food, the service , the room and most of all the view is amazing. We are a family of 4 sharing one room with 2 queens, we loved breakfast every morning ( omelettes by Conner and the team were a highlight) the all day snacks and drinks were also used each day. Some nights if we had lunch we would just have the gold lounge canapés for dinner .. they were great .. the concierge would also organise anything you needed. The Night Snow Shoe experience: booked this in for our last night in Lake Louise and had a great experience. The weather had warmed up and our guide was both knowledgeable and great fun. Recommend this to families, as long as you can walk you can snowshoe Book in a photo session: the professional photographers are great, we walked In a 30 minute photo session which produced great photos with no fuss (I am not a photo shoot fan and I enjoyed it :-) ) Overall cannot praise the lake Louise team highly enough ... well done
