Our group of six people joined Jean Marc and his lovely wife, Alice, for an incredible day of cooking, eating, and immersion into Provencal cuisine. They are the consummate hosts. And, Jean Marc is a gifted chef and, more importantly, gifted teacher. From coffee and cookies just out of the oven, to the tour of the local Farmers' Co-op, to the preparation of each course, to tips on spices, herbs, meal presentation, feasting (with wine pairings for each course), and conversation, this was a day that we will all remember. It was THE HIGHLIGHT of our two weeks in France!

Le Vin Devant Soi

A nice wineshop in the heart of Avignon that offers 32 wines and spirits for tasting thanks to Enomatic system. A large range of french wines recommanded by passionated owners. A great experience to learn everything about Rhone wines. English spoken.

Lovely wine shop offering wines by the glass for tasting - brilliant concept, they have 28 wines (and 4 spirits) available for tasting, all connected to an automatic pouring machine - you buy a "tasting card" from the counter (loading the card with as much as you like - we started with €20 and added another €10) and insert it into the machine, then select which wine and how much and your glass is poured - a great way to sample wine without committing to a large glass (in case you don't like it). Shop owner was really friendly and helpful, recommending wines to taste and telling us about the region - great way to spend an hour in the afternoon!
