Things to do in Auckland, North Island: The Best Sightseeing Tours

April 20, 2022 Agatha Simes

The Māori call Auckland Tāmaki Makaurau — a maiden desired by 100 lovers, and a valuable territory fought over for centuries for its fertile land and natural harbors on the Pacific Ocean (to the east) and Tasman Sea (to the west). Today, it’s New Zealand’s largest city: A vibrant and diverse place where nature and urban life go hand-in- hand, with 48 volcanic cones, more than 50 islands, and 29,000 km of coastline and beaches just minutes away from the arts and shopping of the central city.

What a fascinating place and attention to detail amazing. Lunch and then back to Auckland on a different route with more interesting discussion. Would highly recommend this professional and friend,y tour company.

I had the best customized travel trip in my life thanks to Geoff and Libby in Christchurch. They were able to accommodate all of my South Island travel goals and to adjust my plans when needed. They made travel across a large area in a short timeframe easy and enjoyable There were two things I really enjoyed. First was the bucket list adventure of a Heli-hike at Mount Cook onto the Tasman Glacier. The second was a personal tour in Christchurch by Geoff which allowed me to see many unique local venues that tourists typically do not visit.

It was absolutely hassle free and my guests were very impressed! They were on time, so kind and helpful. Neill and Ceillhe are the loviest people and I just can't recommend their service enough!! 10/10 across the board. I would use this company again, ANY day of the week!

I did the Auckland Three Hours Express Tour hosted by Paul. Paul gave an excellent overview of Auckland with beautiful pit stops along the way. I really enjoyed myself, especially since I only had one full day in Auckland. Whilst the tour was only 3 hours long, in no way did it ever felt rushed. We had ample time to explore at each stop, and any other potential attractions of interest were recommended to us along the way. Paul was also really patient and passionate in sharing both his city and culture, which made the whole tour really informative and enjoyable. Overall, I would strongly recommend the express tour, and definitely look forward to joining any of Paul’s other offerings when I do come back to visit. Thanks mate! Ryan
