Nicola served as our guide on a two-day tour through the Somme region battlefields and Ypres on September 10-11, 2018. My sister and I were the only people on her tour, making it even more personal. She was very personable, knowledgeable, and engaging. Nicola seemed to know everything about World War I and at the battlefields and cemeteries we were visiting. When she didn’t know something such as the relationship between hectares and acres, she acknowledged that she didn’t know the answer and them promptly looked up the information. Although we were on a World War I tour of Western Front areas, Nicola didn’t seem to mind as we asked her questions about her experience living as a Brit in France, Napoleon, the Eastern Front of World War I, Brexit, etc. She was charming, but didn’t ask as if she were trying to earn a bigger tip or receive a positive review. I can’t say enough good things about Nicola and our tour. Speaking of the tour, I should mention that we loved the selection of sites to visit. We knew about the Menin Gate before we went on the tour, but we didn’t really have an appreciation for other places that we visited before going on the tour. Nicola had a good sense of how long to stay at each site. We never felt hurried, but were rewarded for spending time trying to understand the magnitude of the losses and the depth of emotional responses from the countries that were honoring their dead. This is a review by my sister, with whom I traveled.

My stepmom found Matthew after searching through multiple Normandy private tours. Thank goodness, it was fantastic! We basically had him as our private guide for 9-hours, taking us to Saint Mare Eglise, Utah Beach, Point Du Hoc, Omaha Beach, Normandy American Cemetery and several others. Matthew picked us up at our hotel front door in Caen and he was extremely flexible and adjusted to what we wanted to see or eat. At the end of the day, he went out of the way to show us Willian the Conqueror’s castle in Caen. Overall, a fantastic tour at a great bargain (~$100/person). We highly recommend you try this tour when you come to Normandy. We took Matthew’s business card and will absolutely hire him again.

***DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE*** TERRIBLE customer service. Have contacted them before the Covid pandemic asking for a refund. Did not receive it. Then Covid hit - asked MANY times via email for a refund. This trip was for 4 adults - for a cost of 476Euros. There have been so many emails - and they keep saying that a refund is in the works. First they said immediately, then they said 6 months. I cannot recommend this tour operator due to this blatant disrespect of their customers. I need these funds back. I was out of work for more than 8 months - and this is really unacceptable.

Few things were more important to me on my bucket than visiting the beaches of Normandy and the American Cemetery. I had one chance to get this right and did a lot of web searching to find the perfect company and guide. Mike's knowledge of the history of the area and that all important day of June 6th, 1944 was all I could have wanted and more than I expected. To this day, after visiting over 20 countries, my Wife and I consider this tour to be our favorite all time excursion. I hope to return one day post covid and do more exploring with Mike and maybe spend some time at His and Deb's new B&B. Don't miss this one.

I took my first trip to Paris with my then 6 year old son, Xavier, in May 2019. We visited lots of places on our 14-day vacation. On our visit to Monet's House and Garden, we had a picturesque spring day. The drive to the cottage was wonderful as well as the drive back into Paris. The sunshine made the flower and water gardens come to life! I captured a million photos including pics with the garden staff. The tour of the house was like walking through time. It felt truly Parisian country cottage and explains why Monet was so inspired here. Monet was a huge collector of Japanese prints and there are over 200 throughout the house. The livingroom/studio houses many of the master's great works and I was shocked to see how open they were to the public. There is even a Renoir hanging in the hallway on the way to Monet's bedroom (MIND-BLOWN). I highly recommend this tour as it was an incredible experience!!

November 11th is a day of remembrance in the US for all of our veterans but this day holds a very special meaning to everyone affected by WW1. In 1918, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month the War to End All Wars was over. I had very little knowledge of the details other than my grandfather’s recently discovered military records from his service in Europe during WW1. Regis was able to use these few details to discover my grandfather’s exact battlefield locations and the significance of his unit’s contribution to the war effort. I was so enthralled by my 1st tour in November of 2019, that I booked another private tour with Regis in February 2020. Regis was able to expand on my knowledge of the war and of my grandfather’s role in the overall Allied effort. Now after a year has passed, I can reflect on this experience and humbly try to express my thanks to Regis for his extraordinary knowledge and interest in the history of his country and the Allies during WW1 and WW2. I hope to be able to return soon when the situation allows, and to explore more of the lessons of this important time. On this special day, I want to extend a special thanks to Regis for 2 incredible tours and for my deepened understanding of a grandfather’s legacy.
