The state of Arizona is one that features a fantastic diversity of landscapes and areas of geological interest. North Arizona is famous for the Grand Canyon, a colorful chasm with steep rocky walls more than a mile deep and stretching some 277 miles alongside the Colorado River. Other notable destinations in North Arizona include Flagstaff set alongside the San Francisco Peaks which has the largest ponderosa pine forest, Museum of Northern Arizona, and is close to a number of national parks and monuments. On the south side of Arizona lies the city of Phoenix, the largest in Arizona. Notable day trips in Phoenix include the Heard Museum which is one of America's largest collections of Native American art, Phoenix Museum of History, as well as the Desert Botanical garden which has a great collection of desert plants.

H.F. Coors is one of those pleasant 'Tucson Surprises' that many of their own residents don't know about. This is a really interesting pottery and dinnerware factory that apparently is a top notch name, particularly in restaurants, colleges, etc. all over the U.S. I took a tour and saw their manufacturing process and their employees, all steadily working at a variety of stations, producing a lot of really unique lines of pottery and dinnerware that would eventually roll out the end of a very long kiln. VERY INTERESTING to just watch! They make a very DURABLE line of products, practically unbreakable. And are very proud to make '100% Made in America' products. They also have a lot of very unique, limited edition pieces and sets available in the gift shop - which is a tour in and of itself. Very nice. So if you are visiting Tucson, or even a resident that has never heard of H.F. Coors - look 'em up. You might want to check ahead for their tours and special events, but I'm sure their store is open every day. I had a great time, learned a lot, and hope to visit again when I am in town..

Yes, this was an outlet mall. Most of us are familiar with outlet malls. I have to say I loved the set up and ease to find stores and maps. The trees and birds made this feel like I was shopping on a tropical island. Staff in each store I went was amazing and friendly. It was clean and well taken care of. There were plenty of seats to wait for friends or enjoy a beverage. Great place to go and you can find anything you are looking for.

The selection is amazing and I have visited many of the big knife shops in the country (smoky mountain etc.). The pricing is not discount pricing, but there are items here you can touch and decide if it is the right one for you. When you are buying a high priced item this is important and in my mind worth paying close to full retail. In the case of some of the discontinued items you may find that it close to, or even at, collector price, but when the product is virtually impossible to find elsewhere you have to decide what it is worth. The owner is great and knowledgeable as are the employees i talked with. (I think her son) They did not hover are push anything on me. I will be working my road trips through that part of AZ to fit their schedule so I can stop in again. It is my go to for hard to find middle to high end knives.
