I connected with Secret Romania thru trip.me. Florin and I worked together to put together a 9 day trip with a driver/tour guide. Florin was so easy to work with. He accommodated everything I asked for. He responded so quickly when I sent emails even though we are 10 hours apart. He picked us up from the airport and took us to get something to eat before we settled into our hotel. In the morning we met our tour guide Ana. She was amazing! We drove around the country together for 9 days. She knew the history of everything, wherever we went. She even added a few off the beaten path stops that most people never see. She was so friendly, funny and happy. We had a trip that was far greater than we ever expected! We have traveled a lot, but must say this was one of our favorite trips! I highly recommend Romania and without reservation I highly suggest Florin, Ana and Secret Romania if you are going there. Many of our friends have put this on their bucket list after seeing all our pictures. I told them Secret Romania and Florin Preda are the only way to go!! Cant say enough great things about them. Just trust me! Use them!

George is very knowledgeable and has obviously been to the places on this Transylvania trip. Customized our locations to maximize sights and touring for the time we had and where we wanted to see. Definitely a perfect trip that could have only used a couple tweaks. Watch windy roads if anyone gets car sick, let the driver know if there is anything specific your interested in and take lots of pictures, it will be a trip of a lifetime. Also, expect the guide to sometimes be rushed, we didn't expect to be kind of dropped off quite as much in some locations but we adapted to the area. Some of the best sights you will see and George is a very insightful and knowledgeable guide.

My husband and I are foodies and took the Bucharest neighborhoods food tour and we loved it! Georgiana met us at the metro station and took us on a short metro ride to two less touristic Bucharest neighborhoods. First of all, Georgiana was an amazing guide, both knowledgeable and fun. She took us to great restaurants, showed us around the neighborhoods and provided us with some background information about Bucharest, Romanian culture and of course the food :-) It felt like being with a good friend. The places she chose were beautiful. They were all places with a history, great interior and athmosphere, providing home made regional delicacies. I won't spoil the surprise, but let me say the food we had was exceptional - Romanian classics and also dishes you cannot easily find somewhere else. Be prepared for a huge amound of food! So you better skip breakfast :-) Finally, I also want to point our that taking the tour as a vegetarian was not a problem at all. We just mentioned it during the booking process, and the shops/restaurant just prepared something vegetarian for me. Big compliment for that!

I booked this within 2 hours of the start of the tour on my last day in Belgrade and it was absolutely worth it. My guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and thorough. He even took me to the airport at the end so that I could catch my flight. You know it was a good tour when you feel like you’re leaving the city too soon.
