This is a place everyone should visit at least once. It truly is an old juke joint with lots of music especially blues. GIP'S has been open since 1952, Saturday nights only, this is his home. Whatever you want to drink bring it. They do not sell alcohol. Music is for everyone and everyone is welcome. Generally there are difference musicians that perform. You never know who will show up. Mr. Gip will be 99 on Jan 6, 2019. The neighbors in the past have tried to close him down, too much traffic and too noisy. From what I observed their homes were built long after Mr. Gip was entertaining on Saturday nights. I would encourage you to google/research the history of GIP'S Place it would be terrible to loose such a historical place. This was my first visit but it will not be my last. Keeping going Mr,.GIP!!!

We had a few appetizers (pimento cheese, bacon and jalapeño jelly) and enjoyed them all. The bacon and jelly were clearly our two favorites . For entrees, we had the chicken fried steak, chicken hand pie, pork chop and meat loaf. All entrees were exceptional , and their sides, except for the chop. Not sure what happened to it but it wasn’t very tasteful and had a charred taste instead of grilled. Still, 3 out of 4 and great sides is a good showing. Just mind what you order. Drinks and cocktail list is far above average for a college town. Atmosphere is great. We’d definitely go back.

We were in Fairhope recently for a wedding. Our hotel recommended Tongue & Groove for cocktails. We walked to the bar and enjoyed great cocktails and conviviality before we walked to our dinner spot. It's a fun and fresh place in Fairhope with good energy and vibe. Try it...you'll enjoy it!

This is by far my favorite bar in Huntsville. Competition isn’t even close. It’s also adult only, so you don’t have to worry about having your “Needed Break From Work” happy hour moment turned into chunky cheese. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable. I once asked for a drink that tasted like Bavarian cake, and what did I get? The best smooth and light tasting drinkable Bavarian cake cocktail and it didn’t even have chocolate in it. That is talent. The happy hour is top notch! Plus, an amazing selection of top shelf liqueurs. The other plus, a glass enclosed, well ventilated cigar bar. I’m read for happy hour just thinking about it????
