Things to do in Adeje, Canary Islands: The Best Sights & Landmarks

September 5, 2021 Sachiko Swiger

With the dramatic backdrop of 12,200-foot Mount Teide towering behind the resort, Adeje makes an unforgettable vacation destination. Adeje is less than two miles from the boisterous nightlife of Playa de las Americas, allowing visitors to choose whether to take it easy or to party. Bake in the sun on black volcanic sands before cooling down at a water park, such as popular Siam Park, or out windsurfing. Barranco del Infierno, Hell's Gorge, is a lush oasis, perfect for hiking.

I love this place so much, already visited twice. I especially love the garden filled with fruit trees and seeing the old machines that were used for works with the tomatoes. It's a must see in Adeje, a little trip in history. The guide and the shop keeper are lovely; actually I went a little crazy in the souvenir shop.

Large bus station with many bays all clearly numbered and marked. All local bus routes tend to serve the station and it is also the terminus for buses to the capital, Santa Cruz, where a much larger bus station gives access to every part of the island. Bono tickets at 15, 25 and 50 euros are useful purchases and give a discount on the standard fare.
