Thought the food was going to be better than what we received. Presentation was good. Taste was not so much! Ordered Mousaki and Souvlaki. The Souvlaki was very dry and tough meat. The Mousaki was tasteless. The person taking the orders is also the cook and cashier. Believe it or not, there were about 5 other tables with people eating. Not sure if they liked their food.

This is a place you'd want to go back over and over again.The tavern is located in Elafi, just 15 minutes of driving from Kalampaka so turn your GPS on and start exploring some beautiful nature around Meteora and local dishes you'll never forget. The products are local, everything is fresh and so well made.Whatever you choose, I am sure you won't regret it.Highly recommended!

We enjoyed a lavish meal with a group of visitors. Plates of fresh vegetables were followed by tasty meat and sweet dessert- yougurt with candied carrots.Dinner was followed by a wonderful show with the owner and his son playing the guitar and a bouzouki.

The Greek Pork Meal is a good choice. I ate lunch at a different restaurant earlier in the day and the meal is cooked much better here. The potatoes turned out to be French Fries and they were good. The Greek Salad and the Green Beans are very large servings compelling us to request a take away for the left overs. Also, you will be given a free dessert as it is customary in this region of Greece. TIP: Bring your appetite because the meals are humongous.

We've stayed for 2 nights at the guesthouse over the taverna. The taverna is frequently visited by locals, and although it's off center, it hosts delicious food around the day. We've had delicious tsasiki salad, which tasted much better than the more famous taverna at the city center. The food is fresh, the service is welcoming and the prices are decent. I recommend also to stay at the guest house above. It has clean and tidy rooms, some (like ours) had an amazing view onto the Meteora mountain.

The food and wine were all right, in a pet-friendly tavern, in close proximity to Meteora, a great touristic attraction.Yet, when the bill arrived, there were, sadly, things charged twice in it, as well as inexplicable charges. An inflated total amount due ensued!There was some initial reluctance of the staff to accept payment by a debit card, too.As soon as we found out the mistakes in the bill, explanations were asked for, but not provided; apologies werenât offered either! We were reimbursed at once, at least.We didnât waste our time by filing a complaint with the authorities, since itâs only human to err. The incidence might (or might not) have been unintentional; weâll never be sure about.Please, check your bill very carefully, item by item, if eating there!

This restaurant is situated opposite the camp site on the main road up to the monasteries and should not be missed. The food is excellent and is very reasonably priced. In fact, if you stay at their apartments, San Giorgio Villas, you will receive a discount. We had salad, stuffed peppers and tomatoes, tzatsiki, bread, water, beer and wine for under â¬25 euros. The food was so good we went back the following night and had the chicken souvlaki. Itâs on the bone, but cooked beautifully. Each meal was followed by a complimentary dessert of melon and a shot of tsipouro. The staff are very friendly and the owner made a point of spending time having a chat. All in all, a very good two meals.

There is not a lot of items on the menu, but the food is pretty good. The wife felt that she had the best mousaka since we arrived in Greece. The pork fillet, grilled peppers, and the white beans are all very tasty indeed. The waiters are nice and helpful.

We didnât expect all the restaurant we went to during our 2nights stay in Meteora 2 towns to offer only grills. Skaros being the unfortunate one we visit last and we were frankly tired of grilled meat. But boy were we surprised by Skaros. They are simply the best. Lamb was juicy and flavorful. So delicious that we just look at each other in surprise!!!! Had to say this is simply the best grill we have these 2 days. And we were even more surprised when the bill came and they offer our water and coffee for free. Even their grill is typically 10-20% lower prices (at least) compared to other restaurants ..... how could they remain unknown for too long with best grill at lowest prices???? Thank you very much for your comments. We hope to see you again. It is our pleasure to serve you.
