Initial reaction was BEAUTIFUL

Reviewed By debbiebN1825BG

Received an email prior to arriving so we could book in online. Only had to pick up the key so the check in was quite fast. Clean inside and out. Beautifully maintained gardens and pool area. The room was gorgeous. Pretty big kitchen, with good sized fridge/freezer and living area was roomy with a large tv and comfortable couch. Cupboard with washer and dryer. Bedroom was separate with another large tv, separate air conditioner, built in robe and ensuite bathroom. The bed was comfortable, with crisp sheets and comfortable pillows. The bathroom sink/vanity didn't have enough room on top to place things but there was a cupboard underneath. The shower is in the bath and the bath was slippery so beware of this. The cold water tap had to be twisted on quite a lot, compared the to the hot. So get the temperature right before you walk under the spray. Maybe it was just our room but just be mindful. The air conditioners in both rooms were EXTREMELY noisy. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom but it was too hot to go without the air con. There are quite a few places around the apartments to eat. However, quite expensive. The location was great as far as shops, etc.

Overnight stop over on a North West trip

No offence to Port Hedland, but you don't expect much when are having an overnight stop over in this mining town. We booked a night at the Hospitality Inn and had low expectations. We did our email online check in. The room was basic, but it had a working box air con (essential). The room was well supplied with kettle, toaster, and tea and coffee supplies. The restaurant was an unexpected gem. I was sad to see that many on the reservation list were a 'no show'. We had a delicious dinner, with top quality service. I was thrilled to see the hotel installing solar panels as we left. Overall it was a very reasonable experience and I will stay there again. I love that half of our view was the ocean, and half was the cemetry.

CRAWLING WITH COCHROACHES

Reviewed By Sally S

Do not stay here if you avoid it! My room was absolutely crawling with cochroaches. I had a very hard time sleeping as I felt like they were on me at all times and considered sleeping in my car to get through the night. Squashed as many as I could however there are so many cracks in the walls, ceiling, and floor they were continuously coming in. Very frustrating as I had a big drive ahead of me the next day and needed a good nights sleep, which I did not get.

Food _ Dinner

After looking forward to a roast dinner I was disappointed to find that the roast beef was very tough and stringy, no gravy, no veggies. Buffet style cost $54.00 dollars including a Lemon Lime and Bitters drink. I have never so disappointed with a meal that I have ever had for years.

Pleasantly surprised. Well worth a night or two stopover.

I recently stayed with my partner for 2 days as a stop over on the drive from Perth to Darwin. The rooms were modern and well maintained with a high standard of housekeeping. Our room had ocean views which was an added bonus! We had dinner in the on-site restaurant on both nights and were pleasantly surprised by the menu options and quality of the meals and service. The staff at the resort were welcoming and happy to help with any questions.

Functional, comfortable and safe

Rooms were highly functional with queen plus single configuration. They were clean with a fairly new fridge and refurbished bathroom. Pool was nearby and was large and clean. Parking was out the back of the unit, but close enough to move bags between car and room with ease. Compound seemed to be fairly secure, although locking car and room is recommended. Didn't eat at the restaurant but it appeared very quiet. Maybe because the hotel is located within the CBD and guests can avail themselves of restaurants and cafes in the centre of Karratha. Paid a fair price for the rooms, but got fair value. Rooms on the way back were much nicer than rooms on the way there 'though...

F@€¥en dump!

Gross is the word I'd use to describe the place. Arriving at 3pm we set off to reception to collect our key, to which no one was there. A sign sending us arround to the front bar to collect our key, we were pretty well ditched with the key and that was it, the staff were rude and didn't seem to care. There was no pointing us in the right direction or anything. We found our room which by the look of the the place from the outside they don't really like to accommodate for tourists, there were miners all over the place, constantly walk past the room and smoking. This was a pain because you need the door to the room open because it smelt of dust and dampness. The room was filthy, the towels had marks on them like they hadn't been cleaned and there was no toilet paper, the light shade was full of bugs and the water glasses had lip marks on them. The place would be really nice with some tlc but doesn't look like anyone cares about the place. For $150 a night, you'd be beter off saving your money and sleeping on a park bench The place is a disgrace
