For those looking for comfortable accommodation and modern place to spend their holidays, 'The den of dormouse' win-win solutions and exclusive offers. Opened in early 2006, this complex offers brand new apartments, one, two or three rooms arranged in a two-storey building located in the "old town" of Bardonecchia. The residence provides all the services that features a hotel.

I am accustomed to staying in hotels, so there was a bit of uncertainty for me as to how this would work out, but Vittorio was a most excellent host, helping with literally every part of our stay from helping arrange a shuttle van from Turin airport to pointing out local points of interest. We had an amazing first trip to Italy in no small part due to Vittorio and La Tana Del Ghiro. Highly recommended. One note for those who like to sleep in: The nearby church bells ring every half an hour, which woke us up most days. We came to call this the “Bardonecchia Alarm Clock” - but truth be told, I actually appreciated it as it got us up and moving, and it was actually a fairly pleasant way to be awakened.

Tranquillità, natura e ottima ospitalità
Reviewed By valentina sSono stata in questo B&B all'8° mese di gravidanza per trovare un po' di pace e di fresco nella calda estate torinese. La casa è molto bella e ben attrezzata e il giardino, enorme e pieno di alberi da frutta, è l'ideale se si vuole passare qualche giorno in tranquillità, in mezzo alla natura. Francesca poi è super disponibile e gentilissima, ci ha indicato alcuni ottimi posti dove andare a mangiare. In ultimo, l'azienda agricola che ha sede nella struttura fa ottime confetture (che potrete gustare la mattina a colazione) e vende frutta e verdura di stagione a km 0. Consigliato caldamente a famiglie con bambini!

Abbiamo trovato questo luogo fantastico in tutti i sensi: dal luogo, un borgo di montagna con soli 4 residenti; dalla struttura, una vecchia cantina alpina molto ben ristrutturata mantenendo il più possibile i materiali originali tipo pavimento con assi di legno, scalini in cemento e pietra che si incrociano tra i vari piani sfalsati; dalla proprietaria,una persona squisita che ti accoglie entusiasta e ti fa sentire a casa e ci mette tantissima passione come tutti quelli che collaborano con Lei per la buona riuscita dell'accoglienza. Ci vuole molto coraggio ad avviare un locale in un ambiente come questo e la signora ne ha molto e sta vincendo la sua scommessa: il locale aveva diversi ospiti e la sera a cena il salone era sold out . Naturalmente cena tipica con piatti della cucina piemontese montana. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. Vi consiglio di provarlo, sono sicuro che rimarrete entusiasti come lo siamo rimasti noi

Great little place
Reviewed By norfeeDriving through France to Italy we took the scenic route through the alps and ended our day here. Great view from our balcony, supper was served in front of the fire with a great selection of wine and simple home made cheeses and pasta. Freshly squeezed juice and home made butter made breakfast a delight. Perfect relaxing stop.

Nice and elegant Bed and breakfast for mountain sports peolple, hiking or simply relaxing. You can have breakfast in the garden where you can enjoy beautiful views of the Sacra di San MIchele. Great for holidays, small business meetings or romantic breaks.

Il proprietario è molto simpatico e mette subito a proprio agio l'ospite. La colazione varia e abbondante. La mancanza del bidet e del televisore possono dar fastidio.Sebbene la camera e il bagno fossero puliti Il copriletto aveva qualche macchia Mettendolo a confronto con altri b&b in cui siamo stati, il prezzo mi è un alto.

Awful stay
Reviewed By casparnbWe left the rooms at 9.00 and took the bus home at 20.00. We were told our suitcases and baggage could be left at the entrance to the complex. Later we were told we weren't allowed to leave our baggage at the entrance and to move it to the second flour. A little later we got a message the owners of the complex were putting our baggage outside, even going as far as to throw them of the stairs. When we started filming them carrying our baggage outside and throwing it down the stairs they stopped, until after further conversation we were told to put out baggage outside. The stay was alright, but the service afterwards was atrocious.
