Reviewed By 483paigefPerfect location from listening to the river over morning coffee to hopping on Rec path for all the Stowe goodies just steps away. Great beds, loft suite ideal for family. Kids loved the pool and adults loved the hot tub.

A pleasant stay
Reviewed By Wanderer581490We stayed for one night on a road trip. Wish we had the chance to stay longer! The room was very clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed use of the pool, hot tub and sauna. We would happily stay again if we are ever in the area. Can’t comment on food as we ate elsewhere in Stowe but the hotel stay was a very pleasant one.

Need of refresh
Reviewed By TravelwillyStoweflake has been a favorite for many years. Unfortunately it seems the pandemic has taken a toll. It needs a refresh of its exterior. The parking lot has many potholes and the entrance by our room has stairs that the concrete is disintegrating. The rug by the door has seen better days as has the rugs leading to the rooms. The staff at the front desks of reception and the spa seem weary at best and need to remember to be more inviting to their guests. My husband and I have been coming here for 15 years and it's always been our favorite place in Stowe. It saddened us to see it like this and for the staff to be so unwelcoming.

Reviewed By LeeAnnLuLu33Awesome place with great outdoor space with stream (chairs to sit at) fire rings, and yard games. The pool and sauna were top notch. Beds are super comfy, great shower and products. The rooms are small but we’ll equipped and the beds are super comfy.

Golden Eagle Resort is also walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants.
Great value in the heart of Stowe
Reviewed By Y8146IMkarenrWe had a great week at the Golden Eagle Resort. We stayed in a suite that had a small living/dining space and a kitchen and it was perfect for our family of four. We used the pool and sauna and ate at the restaurant on site and were happy with all aspects. The staff were really helpful with all requests. We loved being close enough to walk into the village but still having space for the nights we wanted to stay in after a full day skiing! We were never able to enjoy the fire pit/ s’mores option but thought it was a nice touch.

The Grey Fox Inn is a 34-room boutique hotel in the heart of Stowe. Located on Mountain Road, Grey Fox is within walking distance to Stowe Village and five miles from Stowe Mountain Resort. The West Branch River runs through the far end of their 7.5 acre property, as does the popular Stowe Recreation Path. The Inn has been under new ownership since July 2017. All rooms are fully renovated with new pillowtop beds, new furniture, conveniently located USB ports, 43-inch and 55-inch smart TV’s, and a new property-wide fiber optic WiFi network. Room types include suites, kitchenette units and two-bedroom condos. Enjoy the Grey Fox indoor & seasonal outdoor pool, sauna, hot tub and fitness equipment.

Reviewed By shanecarreyWe stayed in a Mountain View room (not part of the main building). The room was super clean and completely updated. It was not a cookie cutter hotel room. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
