Exceptional!

Reviewed By Rosetano

Our stay at Grand Hotel Miramare was exceptional. We can only describe the service throughout the hotel as impeccable and very hard to find any fault. Breakfast was served outside on the terrace - overlooking the beautiful bay. The hotel location was very convenient. It was an easy and relatively short stroll to the centre of Santa Margherita. We hired a car and had the garage parking provided by the hotel. The parking team were friendly and courteous and the valet parking was very convenient. We had a room at the rear of the hotel - park view, the grounds and the outlook from our balcony was beautiful. We would love to return again, thank you Grand Miramare.

Great room and amenities

Reviewed By tshyde

We stayed for four nights and it was a good experience overall. What made it great was mostly the hotel and it’s amenities. Our room was excellent. Spacious and comfortable. We had a great view of the harbor and a large deck which also had a nice view. Housekeeping was great. There was also a much better than average work out facility, two very nice pools, and a beach club. The hotel and beach club were connected by a beautiful garden. The beach club didn’t have much of a beach, but it was ok. A series of cement and stone patios with stairs into the water. There was a good bar and lunch restaurant that serviced the beach club. The hotel has a restaurant which was ok, but not great. Mostly fish which was fresh and simply prepared. We ate there twice, but did have much better meals elsewhere in town. The restaurant was very traditional and probably hasn’t changed much for 30 years. Matre d takes the order (no one else is allowed to ) and writes it on a piece of paper which stays on the table. The waiter communicates with the kitchen and checks things off when they are served. Busters remove plates. All very orchestrated and kind of amusing. Women don’t have prices on their menus. We haven’t seen that for 20 years. My wife chewed them out, but they didn’t seem to get it. When we were there in early June, the vast majority of clients week Italian and there wasn’t a lot of English spoken by the staff. If there was a communication issue they would find someone (usually some kid) to help. It all worked. The hotel is convenient to town. Overall it was a good stay. We would return.

Average Family Village - a bit expensive

Reviewed By arturof825

It's just your average family hotel. Good location, fair customer service, great food (well, it's Italy after all!) and nice people serving at the restaurant. The kids-club works wonderful (it was nice to get a break from kids in the afternoon), but repetitive after 1 week. I think it's over-priced; for the same money, we could get a high-quality hotel somewhere else abroad and close to the beach also. The reason I went there with my family was because at about 2 hours by car from home. By the way, we were for the first week of July, I believe it'd be very very busy later in July and then in August.

Wonderful hotel, nothing too much trouble!

Reviewed By Ljthompson92

Gorgeous views, lovely clean, well organised hotel. Breakfast buffet was delightful. Pool was amazing! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff! We stayed in a basic room that had a small outside area backing onto the mountain side, it was plenty that we needed, and actually the shade helped us cool off in the afternoon.

Reliable and well priced.

The hotel was easy to find, with transit dropping you off less than 100 m from the entrance. It provided amazing views from the balconies and surrounding areas. The owner is a very nice woman who was extremely helpful with orienting us in Cinque Terre and the hotel. Breakfast was made to order due to covid, and was prompt and delicious each time. The room was spacious, modern, and comfortable. The bed was inviting, the bathroom was bright, stocked, and roomy, and there was lots or storage and TV channels for those looking. We were told the heat wasn't working, but given it was May, this was no issue.

Poor WiFi and shower

Reviewed By charliesU224AJ

Our motorcyle tour group came to this typical Italian hotel. However, the WiFi was variable to poor, and the shower when turned to hot had about 10 fine sprays of water that you had to move around your body to even get wet. Breakfast, location and views were great.

Nice hotel in a good location

Reviewed By swisstraveller002

The hotel is located right on the beach, and only about 100 meters away from the Monterosso train station. It is a lovely place and if I return to Cinque Terre, I will return to the Baia hotel. We had two rooms to the back (not with seaview), but with an amazing balcony / garden (rooms 20 and 29 share this amazing little paradise). A great place to relax after a busy day in the Cinque Terre. The rooms are clean and comfortable and with everything you need. There is an elevator only for luggage, so be prepared for the stairs. Breakfast is a small but good buffet, and can be enjoyed outside, on the promenade with seaview. Staff is very friendly and upon check-in gave us information about trains, boats and Monterosso.

Beautiful hotel in a great location

Reviewed By Far2G0

My second time at this hotel in September. We are always made very welcome and are very well cared for. The bedrooms are comfortable and the balcony is very welcome even when it does not face the sea. It is a throw back to the good old days of the seaside and I am reminded of the 1930's. The breakfast is very generaous with lots to eat an even a few things for gluten free diets. As a diabetic,I always had a good breakfast with meats and boiled eggs and fruit. The beach is on the doorstep ... what more can one say!

Cute and good

Reviewed By OliverS_12

Having not really planned any holidays; the trip to Andora was very shortly decided and setup during a "Saturday Corona meeting :-)". Getting a local resident to get our reservation done, on arrival we didn't even need to provide any credit card or other securities - surprising. The welcome was friendly and our room was small, but practical and clean. Since we anyway plan to spend the most of the time at the beach, size didn't really matter. However, we had the top floor dual room (suite), both rooms with AC and a very large terrace which had a dryer stand and everything what's is needed. So far so good, one negative came up very quickly which was the parking situation around the hotel. Do not go there except you have a contractual insurance for a car park. Situation is pretty bad. Another thing you need to keep in mind, it's 10 min walking in the very hot Italian sun to the closest public beach. Did I mention the really nice pool available in the cute garden of the hotel? We spend some fun hours there too :) - Anyway, for a 230 Euro per Day in summer season is price which is acceptable. Verdict Pro: +Room +Staff +Price +Breakfast Average: =Location Negative: -Parking
