I've just booked my third stay with Nacional Beach Club! I would never think of staying anywhere else. The staff is always available to help with any little thing! The foor is good! the dive shop Gypsea Divers is always great to use... very patient and helpful! I've brought many friends and everyone who has ever come with me, doesn't want to leave. Chilaquiles con pollo y verde sause is muy perfecto! Coffee in the morning is hot and fresh and everything is low key! the perfect place for R&R if R&R is what you are looking for. Thanks to everyone there for my past experiences and can't wait to meet any new faces on upcoming trip! Thanks Evan!

Pros Very friendly and helpful staff Good location if you like Zicatela Decent breakfast Cons Noise - Difficult to sleep as the room was literally shaking from the booming music opposite. In fairness we were kindly moved rooms on request to the one furthest away from the front which helped. Woke up at 7am sharp to the continual sound of a hammer tap and power tools. This went on all morning until we left. General cleanliness -towel had a brown smear on it and the flush in the toilet didn't work at all. Rather than a hotel, its more like a hostel. Very expensive for what it is as its really just a very basic room.

My husband and I had to change our vacation plans and by chance found this wonderful place to stay in Yelapa. We stayed in Casa Playa two bedroom suite right off the beach. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. Deck chairs and table were a great place to relax. The king bed was very comfortable with a soft bed and warm blankets. It gets cool at night so you don’t need AC there was a fan which worked well. The bedroom door has a lock so you can secure your self at night as the rest of the unit is open air. There is a lock box to secure your valuables and a locked door at street level. They provided drinking water and beach towels. The resort has its own beach umbrellas that are just for their guest. Which they monitor. The day boats arrive at about 11 and leave around 3 but they are on the other side of the beach. The food in town was amazing with large portions. We had a snack at one of the beach restaurant the day we arrived which was 4 huge coconut shrimp. The best. The best restaurant in town is Abuelos. There is a grocery store just down the hill. Bring good walking shoes We will definitely be back

Peaceful, beautiful retreat

Lovely quiet beautiful place( i don't want to call it a hotel, more like a retreat). Large beautiful grounds with some sheep and dear, very nice swimming pool, and it is nestled away from any busy roads or traffic. Recommend ubee into town, the hotel restaurant did not have very good food- in this small town probably best not to try to go to any fancy restaurants, but just try to find a local popular place.

My husband and I took a weekend trip to Sayulita and stayed at Junto al Rio in one of the beachfront palapas, Mangle 2, which I would recommend. It is nothing fancy, but nicely appointed and very relaxing with the sound of the ocean waves crashing throughout the night. The facilities on site were great, too. La Isla bar offers delicious food and drinks served by very cool waiters and bartenders. We also had breakfast at the little restaurant staffed by the hippest Mexican kids in town, and in addition to amazing huevos rancheros, we got to play with puppies and a bunny. We recommend Junto al Rio for the warm service, the accommodations, and the location - easy walk to the center of town, but far enough away from the noise.

Simple charming wooden bungalow huts to enjoy the lake and the forest

Reviewed By ErikPlaisier

This place has 3 locations: one hotel and bungalow site in the village center of Zirahuén, another one 20 min out of the village, and a restaurant in the middle. All 3 locations are on the shore of the Zirahuen lake. We stayed in one of the wooden bungalow huts at the “Alpina” site 20 minutes from the village and had a wonderful relaxing time. Service is friendly, the wooden bungalow huts are simple but have all the amenities you need for a stay in nature, and are very charming. The site offers all kinds of activities, including horseback riding, a zipline, and rents out kayaks and rowing boats. The views of the lake are wonderful.
