Reviewed By JohnW8879The Maui is located a block from the seafront on the corner of two relatively quiet streets/ We stayed here for three nights in January 2019. Vera. (the owner) is very friendly and even though I speak little Portuguese and she speaks little English, we had no problem communicating. The Maui is small and so you feel more a part of a family than a guest, as Vera seems to remember everybody's name. The room we had was clean with both air conditioning and a ceiling fan, so no problems getting a good nights sleep. The pool is small and very welcome after a walk along the seafront on a hot day. Breakfast is usual pousada fare, with a good mixture of sweet and savoury. My only caveat is that the WiFi in our room was poor, occasionally dropping out. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Pousada Maui to anybody looking for friendly, clean accommodation.

Nice country hotel for a couple of days.
Reviewed By SeuJoseWe (two adults and a three years old boy) went there in a non hollyday period so there were not a lot of people. It was possible to enjoy with less "lines" and confusion because of that. There are around four swimming pools (two are inside). One of them is large (with slider and so on). The "warm one" is nice also. There are rooms for kids and children with arcade games and such. I suggest to stay in the new area of the rooms (the old area is right in front of one of the pools and can be noisy in a crawd day). The food is ok, not fantastic but ok. It can he a little expensive considering a cost/benefit analysis, but is a nice option around Curitiba (1 hour and a half by car).

Reviewed By Sheila AThis is a lovely place to stay with an extremely helpful owner. It is situated at the very end of the beach a very short walk across the sand to bars and restaurants. It is peaceful and relaxing. Delicious buffet breakfast - fruit, cake, coffee.
