The best available Pensions to stay near Prague

May 1, 2023 Hector Krause

The word Prague means “uphill” and yes, the city Prague stands to its name. The amazing views from Prague Castle and the parks in Letná, Petřín and Vinohrady prove this. The hills surround a beautiful medieval center divided by a river in the picturesque Little Quarter and the cobblestone heart of Old Town in the Jewish Quarter. A stone’s throw from Old Town, you can find buzzing shopping in the cultural neighborhood of New Town. Everyone finds what they seek in Prague, and surely falls in love with this city.

Most beautiful hotel in the centre of Prague. Perfect walking distance to all of the main attractions. The beautiful cobblestone street has amazing markets set up every morning. One of the best experiences of my life. I would instantly choose to stay here every single time I visit Prague. Front Desk lady was also very nice and helpful giving advice on where to visit during our stay.

Penzion Sofi

Very nice accommodation in a pleasant area!

Reviewed By Stephen W

The pension was quite easy to find from the metro station and not too far to walk. By bus it is only a couple of stops. I got used to using the metro very quickly and it was easy to get to Budejovicka station from Nadrazi Veleslavin, the nearest station to the airport. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and very reasonably priced. There were two rooms with toilets and washing facilities on my floor. The shared fridge and microwave in the corridor was very useful. The owner was very kind and offered to help print out some documents for me that I needed urgently. The area around the pension is safe and very quiet. I don't think there would be any problems at night time.

Great pub

Reviewed By 293neilk

U Svejku is a pub I always look forward to visiting on any trip to Prague that I take. This pub is so cosy,ok ,it's a tourist pub but that said a very good one at that, the interior is superb, traditional, chunky wooden tables and chairs, great decor and furnishings ,a solid wood serving bar, lots of seating options, all housed in a great looking pub building. We were here on a Friday early afternoon,we grabbed a table were we ordered a beer each,we chose beers from Pilsner Urquell Brewery ,these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and with the distinctive foamy head so characteristic of the way Czech beer is served,we planned out the day ahead while sipping our beers. My beer was really good,a big fan of this beer ,when served in pristine condition as in this pub it's such a light ,hoppy and unpretentious lager style beer bursting with taste and very easy to drink ,it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying such a delicious beer. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to U Svejku we had a great time. U Svejku is easy to locate along Ujezd. A great pub ,well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Welcome

There are horses for courses and hotels for people's pockets. As they say you pays your money and get what you deserve, Pension Europa is very reasonably priced but you get that little extra. Why? Simply the pension is run very efficiently by the owners who really care and are considerate. It is not the "grand luxe". It is comfortable, clean and sends you off with a good breakfast inside and you know you had good value for your money and a good night's rest, I read jennynotfer's revue and guess so have the owners who have made the necessary improvements.

La casa de los horrores

Reviewed By galser
