OK For A Budget Stay With Our Furry Friend
Reviewed By tjb30bStayed at the Motel 6 in Niantic for a getaway weekend with our furry friend. Location is convenient right off I95. Its a budget hotel so no refrigerator, no breakfast and no daily housekeeping was not a deal breaker. Our room was on the small side and the water pressure was low but the cleanliness and maintenance was really good with a pristine paint job. Also Motel 6 allows pets with no additional fee so that's a big plus. All in all, we can't complain and would recommend with the caveat that you know what to expect at a Motel 6 - low cost and minimal amenities but a decent room.

Reviewed By Marilyn IWe stayed two nights and enjoyed the experience. The bed was very comfortable, the ac/heater worked well to keep us warm on a cool night, the room was clean, and the staff was friendly. Happy to recommend the Quiet Corner Inn.

Reviewed By alexlE9840QHThe room was clean with a king-sized bed. Water gets hot fast, nice big shower. Very friendly staff. Staying two more nights, but I'm already comfortable here. One of the lowest prices in the area. I've stayed at a few other motels recently and one sign of a good motel is the staff do what they can to meet your requests, even if it's difficult or abnormal. I asked for some disposable silverware and they found some for me lickity-split.

A Sad, Tired Place
Reviewed By rickmD2634JADon't be deceived the photos and reviews that might persuade you that this is an "okay" place and our a "good value" that will suffice for a short stay over. This place is truly dilapidated, replete with painted over wall paper, repurposed furnishings and the scent of ancient tobacco in a would be non-smoking room. The bed linens and towels were paper thin and the latter, the texture of like sandpaper. The single bed pillows those you find on airplanes. When we requested second pillows they were not to be had due to "COVID". We stayed here because other accommodations we checked around Mystic, CT were full. In retrospect, we should have looked harder. IMO, this place is only suitable for those saving all their money for the slot machines. To say this motel needs a total remodel would be a massive understatement, more likely it needs to be razed.

Reviewed By rselit308164Place was not cleaned, secure, or updated as far as rooms. Doors open no security, lobby messy smells awful. Smell of marijuana through out hotel. It was a bad experience for less than 16 hours from check in to check out.

Reviewed By Randy SThis is an interesting place. It is located by itself just off the highway. It is well signed. It is in the woods . It is a Budget hotel. It was very clean. It had a quick check in. It was busy with many out of state travellers. It had a very good tv and tv package. There is nothing but woods around it but it does have pizza delivery from a location about 10 miles away that has an excellent reputation. Basically convienient, clen and cost effective. It will become my go to stop on my way home.

Dry up oranges, some yogurt and some pastry…. But not a lot offered…. Coffee was good. We had small ants in our bathroom that I reported. When I reported it a second time, they said they had no bug spray. They stated “it was against the law to spray bug spray.” They gave me a disinfectant to take care of problem…..!!!!!???? I kept all my stuff zipped up in bag! I will not be returning here again.

Business guests, the Killingly Industrial Park and Putnam Industrial Park are minutes away as well as larger companies like Frito Lay, Staples, United Natural Foods and Lake Road Generating. Leisure guests, nearby are many private schools such as, Pomfret School & The Rectory School in Pomfret, CT, the Hyde School in Woodstock, CT and Marianapolis Preparatory in Thompson, CT. Need to relax? Visit Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun Casinos, about 40 minutes away or take some time to shop in downtown Putnam. Other options include visiting the Thompson Speedway, the Woodstock Fair on Labor Day weekend or even a relaxing ride around the 'Quiet Corner' seeing the historic towns or the fall foliage.
Outdated, old, ripoff
Reviewed By brmaillouxComfort Inn & Suites, Dayville CT Where to begin… this hotel is ok. It’s the only name brand hotel in this area. So, not a lot of choice, but to stay there. And, this proprietor knows it. Their rates are high, even if you feel like you are getting a good rate. The hotel is old and outdated and reeks of cigarette smoke even though they profess to be a smoke free property. Upon my arrival, there was no one at the front desk. There is a sign directing you to call a phone number to check in. When we called the number, the front desk phone started ringing. Someone answered from somewhere else on the property. We were told that they’d be with us in a moment. They took their time coming to the front desk. They looked like we were inconveniencing them. Amy, was her name. She was unapologetic. We then had a question about our rate and she couldn’t help us. Again, no apology. So, in the end, I ended up paying $300 for one night in an outdated hotel in the middle of nowhere that reeks of cigarette smoke with a cranky front desk staff. Pros - the room didn’t smell of cigarette smoke thankfully and was clean and comfortable. There is an indoor swimming pool that looked nice. It is located right off of the highway (Rte 395). Town is about 10 mins away which is where you’ll find gas stations, shopping, and a few restaurants.

Nice Quiet Motel
Reviewed By Corvette_RobThis motel has interior access to rooms, which is nice, but the access to the hallway is locked - so pizza delivery can be tricky. Rooms are above average in size, the A/C had trouble keeping up - even with 70's to low 80's temps outside. Normal 'deodorizer' motel smell within tolerances. Got four quite nights sleep - no close by neighborhoods to add traffic to the lot. No coffee in lobby, or the room - no breakfast. Good rates for an average room.
