Good hotel, but bad wi-fi

Reviewed By Egidija

We stayed there for 4 nights. We arrived to São Paulo very early in the morning, and were positively surprised when we got access to our room several hours before check-in without even asking. We could check out later as well, and did not need to pay additional fee for that. The staff was friendly, and several spoke English. The room was big enough, and the beds comfortable, AC functioned well and was rather silent. Hotel was clean, but we got only 2 small bags of shampoo during our stay, though we were 4 persons. We might have got more if we asked, but we didn't. There was no hair-drier in the room, we got one at the reception, but it did not fit to the electric outlet, luckily, we had an adapter which we could use. Again, we did not complain about that to the staff, may be they would have provided one. The breakfast was ok, nothing exceptional. The vicinity of the hotel is rather shabby. The metro station Republica is the closest one, and it is at 10 min walking distance. Wi-fi was free but functioned badly if at all. It might have been some temporary problem, but that was important for us, and that draws our evaluation down

Simple and good hotel, but very good location

Reviewed By Heitor L

This is a small hotel, two stars, I think. It is old, but somewhat renewed some time ago. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is basic. There is, also, a closed parking lot. Prices are just for what they offer. The main advantage is its location, only two blocks of Paulista Avenue, the financial heart of São Paulo, with many other attractions (Museuns, parks, shoppings, etc). Also, transportation is quite easy, since an underground station is also two blocks far, and many bus lines passes in front the hotel. From Congonhas airport it is something like 20 minutes (with a good traffic) by Uber and, since the hotel is in a central point, it is relatively easy to reach other points of interest in São Paulo. The hotel's main drawback is not having an elevator. Although there are only two floors, guests have to use the stairs.

For one night or for one hour

Reviewed By Niinacarina

I chose the hotel because it was near the place I had to visit four days in a row. Anyway, the area isn't good (I'm female traveling alone), the bed was uncomfortable for sleeping purpose and the atmosphere was more or less shady. Staff is friendly and my wifi worked. Stayed one night.

Maltratado por funcionário

Reviewed By G6841OXmarcelom

Trash, and I'm being generous

Reviewed By Gandulf C

Hotel is well located if you need to do business in Bras during the day, and only need to stay one or two nights. I had to stay seven, and it was horrible. Hotel is located in a dodgy area, where you better not walk at night as it is abandoned (and also dirty). At night, plenty of Ubers cancelled, one explained to me it's one of the unsafer spots in the city centre together with Luz. At night, I got woken up by some drug addicts fighting in the street. During the late evening 10pm, a group of kids tried to mug me for some money, but was a bad judgement call from their part. If I was a woman I would have gotten robbed. Staff is underpaid and it shows. Damian was the friendliest one, the others seemed to be more preoccupied with watching tv and their phones, or just laying and sleeping in the dirty couches of the lobby. The rooms looked good on picture, and that's where it stopped. My room was cleaned when I entered, but never got cleaned the following 7 days I stayed. If I didn't ask for fresh towels I wouldn't have received them, and if I wouldn't have thrown them outside my room they would still be rotting in the bathroom. Two windows were broken in my room, so this made it noisy, and resulted in tons of bugs getting in. I saw a lizard on the walls, a spider in my bed and got stung quite some times by mosquitos until I had enough with it and upgraded to a better hotel. The wifi, was surprisingly good. Never ever will I step foot here again. I'm not a fan of writing negative reviews but there are so many reasons here to do so, the owner should step up, take his responsibilities, fire his lazy staff, make sure the place gets cleaned and maintain his building. Would have gotten him a 4 star review instead of one, and that's because I cant give a zero.
