Reviewed By 1DMeThe Zwartmodder room for couples is very comfortable, and Zwartmodder is very well located for views of the surrounding mountains and access to the village of Clarens. The garden is lovely and the hostess is very hospitable.

Great staff, great hosts and excellent breakfast! This is the perfect property to rejuvenate an overwhelmed city-dweller. No TV, no noise, just exceptional scenery and calm.

Scottish history lesson
Reviewed By 511ghI am not sure whether to define this as a guest house or hotel. The Management have a very hands on approach. There are not many rooms but some are connected by a passage making them very suitable for families. Although our room was small, it was clean and the necessary complementary tea and coffees were provided. The installed wall heaters increased the temperature in the room with any noise. The guest house is located within the town enabling one to walk to the curio shops and all the eating houses, should you not wish to eat at the guest house. The décor on the walls in the dining room / bar provides one a small look into the history of Scottish Clans. The fireplace in the dining room / bar creates a cozy atmosphere when lite. The guest house were not shy to light the fire.

Reviewed By JulianJansenWe stayed at Titanic view in Clarens for 2 days in December 2018. What a beautiful place. The rooms are spotless and in the mornings, we sat on the little porch sipping on coffee while watching people abseil down the cliff face. So we decided to go do it as well. Its a cozy place and we had our own little ine bedroom self catering appartment. We loved it. Its a definate return here for us! Clarens, here we come again soon!

Wyndford Holiday Farm is a family owned and run establishment which has been in existence for 100 years. Catering for family holidays, with activities - guided walks and horse riding among others, and superb wholesome farm fare, serving three meals, and morning and afternoon teas each day. Situated near the Caledonspoort border with Lesotho, is within easy reach of many tourist sites, eg Katse Dam Lesotho, Afri-Ski and Clarens. Accommodation is in varied rooms and rondavels, all with en suite bathrooms and serviced daily.
Pleasant stopover
Reviewed By Rob CSpent 2 nights returning home from Lesotho. Room was comfortable and food tasty. Staff very friendly and engaging. The walks were well guided. The checkout was a bit concerning as my deposit had been reduced by R97.75. However when i queried it a refund was promptly arranged.

Reviewed By DianevanVuurenA lovely quiet and relaxing stay especially out of season. Chalet was spacious and clean and away from the main areas - which is nice if you want relaxation and no noise. Plenty on offer for those who enjoy walking and hiking.

Sangiro Lodge is just outside Bloemfontein and very close to the Shell Ultra City at the exit from the N1 to Bloemfontein.Sangiro Lodge is on a small game reserve and you will probably see some antelope when you relax on the veranda of your wooden chalet. The chalets are spread out in front of a rocky hill and offer unique privacy and excellent views.Each chalet at Sangiro Lodge provides a deck with a braai and small seating area, a bedroom and bathroom with shower. The accommodation is basic, clean and spacious and as such is perfect for an overnight stay near Bloemfontein. The lodge serves a good breakfast with great hospitality.
Conflicting feelings
Reviewed By mrshestermanSuch conflicting feelings after our stay at Sangiro lodge. The property itself it beautiful, there are peacocks roaming everywhere and we could see cows, sheep, zebra and buck from our chalet. There is central heating which was so welcomed with the cold nights which are creeping in. However, there was hair under the duvet on the bed on our arrival, a dirty wet towel hanging behind the bathroom door, the kitchen cloth was sopping wet, no bin bag and the carpet by the couch really did not look clean either. We were travelling with a crawling baby, so all of this just did not quite sit well unfortunately. Would we go back? Yes, but next time, we will call after booking and make sure the unit is properly turned over upon our arrival.

Faulty Aircon and a Moldy Shower
Reviewed By TravelerMalomeBesides the single beds and lack of blankets in a cold province during a cold time, the air-conditioning only blasted hot air for 5 seconds spurts all night and the shower was moldy. Insects had built some sort of nesting area as well in the bathroom.
